Well if put it all together then it's pretty gay:stretchgrThe pink cowboy hat was not mine, the cherry stuff is Chapstick not lipstick and the martini is chocolate, not fruity! So there!
Edited for ye, Dave. :thumbsup:Well (snip) it's pretty gay:stretchgr
I admitted that I used to smoke them. Guess I had to grow up a bit. :headroll:Ya I seem to recall you giving me a tatiana once, I didnt want to be a dick so I tried it and will never do so again!
Dont bother with the Java, I got a freebie and Cigarfest last year.....they are not very good at all.
Ohhh, I may have to take back the nice things I said about you on another spot of the site. :halfgrinw :rofl:Edited for ye, Dave.
It happens. Tastes change, life goes. I used to smoke RP Edges like they were going out of style. Now not so much.Used to like the Kuba Kuba and smoke them once in a rare while just for the change. Can't do it anymore, I can't smoke even an inch without putting it down, last few have all sucked big time. I'm the only thing that could have changed, not a big loss, but wierd how something I used to enjoy just six months ago has gone totaly south for me now. Any of you guys experienced this?

Well stated however, us old guys look for nuances within the tobacco without outside enhancements. Thank is why I have never really appreciated infused cigars. It almost always a cover for poor blending or low quality leaf. Drew has done a nice job of opening the cigar mystique to a whole different group of people. I have smoked cigars with many of them. I do believe it is a starting point tho. Once you try a really outstanding tatuaje, Fuente or Padron, it is hard to go back. IMHOI like the Acid line. There are some I don't like but generally I enjoy them.
To preface, I started out smoking Acid cigars. They were welcome refreshment when all the other cigars I initially tasted sucked.
For those that are not into the Kuba Kuba or Acid in general, I would make a couple suggestions. First, if you were on the edge with Kuba Kuba and can still stand infused cigars, try the 1400cc. It is a much heavier and stronger, more satisfying smoke than the Kuba. For me, after finishing a Kuba Kuba, I am left with a feeling that something is missing. The 1400cc picks up where the Kuba leaves off.
Also, try the Acid One. You get all the delectable flavors of the leaf Jonathon Drew uses, only without the infusion process. This is a delicious smoke.
I almost think its become trendy to bash Acid cigars. The older guys that have smoked Camacho and Fuente their whole lives try one and it is so radically different from anything else they've smoked, the "cigar conservatism" comes out and they immediately reject it.
I am not saying Acids are the cream of the crop when it comes to a good stick. However I respect them for what they are and the evolution of the industry that has allowed for them to exist in the first place.

I hate to bump such an old post but I did a search for "ACID" once I realized I stepped on my d*ck by saying those were my preference in my intro (on this site it makes me sound like a pussy).Well stated however, us old guys look for nuances within the tobacco without outside enhancements. Dude, don't do that... PM me your address over there, and I will make up a nice ISOM sampler for you...I hate to bump such an old post but I did a search for "ACID" once I realized I stepped on my d*ck by saying those were my preference in my intro (on this site it makes me sound like a pussy).
I agree that the really sweet ones are a bit overdone and its like sucking on a candy cane. (However, I also agree that Drew Estates has cornered the market on bring in new cigar smokers who don't want to be put on their ass the first time they try a cigar) A few years ago I randomly found an ACID One and I loved it, but could never find them in most cigar shops. I ordered some from CI and it has been my go to cigar since being deployed.
After being on this site, I really want to order some cubans. Being new to cigars, I'm afraid to drop the cash just to get something that I hate. Like everyone says, tastes change and I'm open to new things.
Any one have suggestions as a "gateway" cigar to bigger and better things? Maybe a cuban sampler that would give me a good range? I'm looking to drop another order in the next week or so. Thanks
