Google says: http://www.6sigma.us/I guess seeing as I don't even know what it is...I probably don't have it!
Yes I do...My job uses it.... Um as a end user.... it is crap. the solutions never really work and just look good on paper.
I'm the QS/ISO management representative for my company & we've found that companies that use Six Sigma, Kanban, Kiazan even most of the TS/ISO standards & management philosophies are typically more of a headache. There is some value in it if used properly, but it usually ends up having little return on the investment (money & time)....it will be good line to have on you resume, but it's not going to change your life.
LOL I am glad I am not the only one who has learned to bend over and buy knee pads and a bottle of Ky to work on a daily basis... and that is on a good day.Yes I do...
and it is kind off like Jake says.....GREAT!!!!! on paper, but the real life solutions never seemed to pan out. Kind of like Tony Robbins training, makes you feel good, but if you can't sell, then you can't sell. So as far as getting a job goes, it will be good line to have on you resume, but it's not going to change your life.
This is everyting that I hear as well.Yes I do...

Thanks for the offer Ray - I'll pass for now. I did finish some SOX projects through my (former) employer and I recently completed two semesters of general accounting to familiarize myself with GAAP, so I'm good there.I have a book on it if you want it. Become familiar with SOX and it will be a good thing for the resume.
Yes I am wrong in that Six Sigma is not a software, but let me explain. The wife went through the training for her last company. Interesting, probably useful, but only if a company "buys in" to the concept, which most are not good at doing.
Mitch, are we talking about the same thing? To the best of my knowledge, Six Sigma is not a software program. It is a TQM concept.
