Well I finally seem to have a part time job for my lazy ass lined up. I did the job interview yesterday and once my certification training is done your's truly will be a poolside lifeguard at the Hotel Herhsey. It's a pretty swankedy swank place I must say and the people seem cool that I'd be working with.

They asked if I handled stress well and for an example. Nothing like making someone's eyes pop out when talking about removing fuses from a bomb or something in regards to a stressful situation. :timebomb:

Hey perks are perks....just keep your hands off em.

and given the subject matter, there would indeed be "perks"

OK, this thread is bordering the limits of good taste.

Check that...Dave and I are bordering the limits of good taste.

Well, if you are a typical lifeguard you will hope that nobody drowns so that you dont have to get wet. But the best of luck to ya!

I was a lifeguard when I was in college. Certification was surprisingly intense for me, but with your military training you will have no problem. I had to swim 500 yards, tread water for three minutes using inly my legs holting a weight with my hands and do a dive in rescue with cpr.

Are you allowed to smoke while on duty? :smokingbo
The thought already crossed my mind. I highly doubt it though. Maybe if I worked at their country club I could.

Not so much the military training but my life as a swimmer will make it a breeze. I started swimming in kindergarten and kept it up till I got booted from the highschool team. The girls were too hot for me to concentrate on doing laps!

Well boys I'm a red cross certified lifeguard, I did the certification training this weekend. I bet I could have taken the test with out any instruction and passed. The Hotel Hershey seems like it will be a great place to work. Let me know if you guys are going to be in the area and staying at the hotel for any reason.
