I think there is a big group of guys who will only smoke large ring gagues. A couple of guys at work laugh when I pull out a Noella or an Oliva V lancero. Then one will grab a La finca from his pocket and say " now this is a real cigar". And he will proceed to smoke it in 20 minutes. I gave him some smokes for his birthday and he gave me back the small ones saying he wouldn't smoke em. Well he'll be lucky if i offer him anything ever again, but just saying. I see alot of smokes coming out that only carry a large size ring gagues.

I personally believe its a novelty, not a pleasure. I am all about enjoying my smokes.

52 was pushing it.

Folks keep putting out big ring gauge cigars. Look at Perdomo. Do they make anything under a 52 (aside from the Patriarch line)?
i think those in the "know" know better, but I do think big ring gauge cigars are still pretty popular. More popular than a lancero or panetela size (domestically of course).

Depends on the smoke, but if I have a choice I perfer under a 50 ring. Don't mind larger if they taper like a Belicoso, but find most of the monster size cigars ie. 6x54 to be bland and dont fit well in my mouth.

I have purchased a few in the past and they are some of the veterans that seem to never leave my humi. I have tried a few and found them to be awkward. Unfortunately that has a tendency to somewhat ruin "the experience" that I enjoy now.

I have some biguns and many little ones. I lean more towards the skinnier end of things but will certainly lay flame to some of those listed by Gale not caring about the size because they're goood.

We sell quite a few cigars over 54rg.

The LFD DL 700, Gurkha Vintage Shaggy XO, La Viaje Gran Fuerza, Maxx Freak and Fix and several others.

These all do very well especailly the Gurkha Vintage Shaggy.

I personally don't like RG's this big. But they do sell

It seems like there is some machismo associated with big cigars (even though smaller cigars usually have more concentrated flavor). Most big cigars just seem to be more loaded with volado and seco.

I do like the cao brazilia gol! though and I think that's a 56 gauge.
