Certifiable.
are Cubans that much better because they are not legal in the US? or is it they are actually superior cigars?
go to Mexico. :nodlaugh:i can't wait to finally get to try one.
I've Cuban family by direct line, and I call that argument to be bullshite. Batista was no better (after all, there's a reason a revolution rose), yet since he answered to American interests, everything was swell. Also, Castro might be everything BUT a good president, yet I've been to Cuba and saying that they ALL want to leave or they ALL loathe what the place became is the biggest lie of all.Living in South Florida this talk of an embargo lift brings mixed feelings to me. For one I'd love for Cuban Cigars to be legal and readily available. On the other hand I have many Cuban friends who have had their lives ruined by the Cuban Government, and lifting the embargo puts money in Fidel and Raul's pockets.
just my 2 cents.
there are some BAAAAAD people who live there:eyebrow:go to Mexico. :nodlaugh:
Plus, Cuba will become a brothel (MUCH worse than right now) and it appears as if the island would be cut in half to leave a canal for maritime commerce...which would only support the transition. It would be nice, wouldn't it. BUt I do think it might increase the cost on all cigars, as well as create more litigation in the courts for some brands. Time will tell, but I agree, it won't happen anytime soon!
When the embargo is lifted ye can find out yerself! :thumbsup:are Cubans that much better because they are not legal in the US? or is it they are actually superior cigars?
I know they all don't want to leave...but I'd rather see my friends get the money they have earned, instead of it going directly to the Government.I've Cuban family by direct line, and I call that argument to be bullshite. I know!!!!there are some BAAAAAD people who live there:eyebrow:
Yeah, he was referring to you! hehe.I know!!!!
...wait a second. WHAT?
Then start a revolution yerself, mate. In reality that is how things are and we have no say in it. Unless ye LIVE there, it's not yer right.I know they all don't want to leave...but I'd rather see my friends get the money they have earned, instead of it going directly to the Government.
not so bad. :riflefirethere are some BAAAAAD people who live there:eyebrow:
agreed, I've tried them, but don't have an educated enough palette to tell the difference. If one was to try blind tastings of various cigar, both NC and CC, then folks would actually see if they liked them because of the cigar itself, not it's origin. Of course, we can only talk of speculation and hypothetical in the US.
I've smoked em in Mexico, on a cruise ship and uhh other places, I like em..I just wondered the consensus.Plus, Cuba will become a brothel (MUCH worse than right now) and it appears as if the island would be cut in half to leave a canal for maritime commerce...which would only support the transition.

I say they're sometimes better, sometimes not. Depends on what ye feel like. Somewhat like Irish Whiskey or Scotch.I've smoked em in Mexico, on a cruise ship and uhh other places, I like em..I just wondered the consensus.
basically what you are saying is they are just like any cigar.I say they're sometimes better, sometimes not. Depends on what ye feel like. Somewhat like Irish Whiskey or Scotch.
It's much more than that. I don't have exact statistics about worldwide sales, but I know a few guys that live in Switzerland and England. The B and M's over there sell very few NC cigars. Very few people are even interested in NC's. There's got to be a reason for that.basically what you are saying is they are just like any cigar.
I just think they are so sought after is because its obtaining the unobtainable.
Just because Obama is in does not mean a thing, people said this same crap when Clinton was in the White House, don't get too excited - it's not going to happen...I would not hold your breath.
Or like when people ask you a question on PM and then set you up to a Mod...yeah like that!:argh:Trust me, I once f*cked up much worse. No harm's done.
I used to think that it wouldn't happen in my lifetime...now I'm not so sure. I believe that if the current administration secures a second term, then we'll see it lifted.

Yikes! If there is a second term I think the last thing I'd be worried about is cigars. There'll be a statue of Lenin in Washington by that time.:boxing:
Couldn't have said it better. Not everybody has the same tastes in all things, esp. with cigars. I always get a chuckle with people who tout one cigar as better than another esp. in regards to Cubans and NC's. I love both equally but would never say one is better than the other.:chat:With 1380 brands worldwide of different origin tobacco, there is a cigar for each person. One that will fit well within your palate/taste preference. I have had great cigars and shite cigars! The fun is trying them to find out the new treasures of our passion.
