Unfortunately few of us still believe a promise is something that shouldn't be taken so lightly. But...what can we do but stick to OUR promises?Exactly, and that's just what one shop told me. I can respect that!

I concur.Unfortunately few of us still believe a promise is something that shouldn't be taken so lightly. But...what can we do but stick to OUR promises?
this is how most of the northwest shops have handled things, and i respect it. they took my contact info, and once they had a handle on things, i was told there were 3-4 singles of each that i will be able to pick up when they come it.That's why if you are smart, you don't make any promises.
If the shops had said "We just found out we were going to get these, we have no idea what we are going to do, but we ARE making a list of people who called in case we decide to distribute them that way." you might not be so (rightfully) annoyed with them.
Next year Pete should mail out a packet or something to the B&Ms so they know what's doing on.this is how most of the northwest shops have handled things, and i respect it. they took my contact info, and once they had a handle on things, i was told there were 3-4 singles of each that i will be able to pick up when they come it.
i think some of this was confusion, and probably workers that really didn't know what was happening.
if anything, i think logistics broke down. who was getting what and how many, and most BOTL knew the shop was getting them before the shop did!
Next year they all should be sold at one location like Pete said. Its the most fair, that will not allow people who have no idea about them to get them, it will limit the amount 1 person can get, etc.. I like the one location idea/.Next year Pete should mail out a packet or something to the B&Ms so they know what's doing on.
me too...this sucks.Next year they all should be sold at one location like Pete said. Its the most fair, that will not allow people who have no idea about them to get them, it will limit the amount 1 person can get, etc.. I like the one location idea/.

IMHO CRA-like idea is better.Next year they all should be sold at one location like Pete said. Its the most fair, that will not allow people who have no idea about them to get them, it will limit the amount 1 person can get, etc.. I like the one location idea/.
Well, time to get smoking! :smokingboyou know what they look like!!! and no ticket:crying:
i think everyone here now secretly hates you.shhhhh.....got my box.....
LOLi'll save moro the post.... secretly???
Agree and disagree....Pete should do the 666 boxes and do bundles or plain old boxes for the others...don't really care about the box...When Marvin in Hawaii got the T110's (only 200 boxes) there wasn't a hastle...no one retailer is gonna have 2200 customers walk in (or 1200 for that matter) and buy boxes. Damnit get Angry Bill! :grin:Maybe Pete should have folks come to him, just to see how bad folks want them! No lists, if you aren't there, too bad!
The problem with one place having them is they will make sure "their" customers get them. No one else will get shot. I liked the idea of 666 original boxes and then sell bundles of the same cigar. The box isn't the big thing to me. Its the cigars that makes the memories. The box just gathers dust!
