220 in NY lolBut $400-$500? Its a $169-200 box...
I have ot agree with you Patrick. I would not do this, but what right does one have to police what someone else rightfully ownes. If you don't want to pay a price, then don't.It gets on your nerves so you tattle-tale? I really have a problem with this. So you've never used poopal for a transaction? Should I report you and the rest of us here for it?
I can understand disagreeing with the guy's actions, but harassing his auctions is overboard. No one here is the eBay police.
I was out of line. Post removed.But $400-$500? Its a $169-200 box...
You're going to have a hard time convincing me to feel sorry about someone that buys these things not to smoke, but to make a profit on. He kept someone that would actually appreciate them from being able to have them.
Please save one of each for my little brother......Gordy! :applause:Just got a box of each!:smokingme

Negative. Internet-fu and my loyalty to my B&M scored me a box of each.Sounds to me like you might have been beaten to the punch and are pissed about it. You shouldn't feel sorry for them, but embarassed of yourself. My .02.
So far I am not impressed with this board. I don't get why some of you are making such a big deal about these cigars. Have you never bought something, to then turn around and sell it to someone else for a profit. This is what the maker of these cigars are doing, getting rich off us consumers of cigars. If I bought a box of cigars and needed some extra cash, why not throw them on ebay and let people pay what they want for them (I haven't actually done this, I would have probably smoked themIt gets on your nerves so you tattle-tale? Guys guys settle down. I was just joking around with the other brothers on the board, Nic in particular who started the fladded running joke. Do I agree with an arseclown buying up boxes to sell for almost double the MSRP? NO. Would I waste my time to police ebay to flad them? NO. I waste all of my time on this site with you fine gentlemen (and a few ladies). Don't get your panties in a bunch it was humor. Oddly enough after I made the joke the listing were removed so maybe there are people out there fladding cigar listing, but I am not the mad fladder I was just making a joke about fladding.I have ot agree with you Patrick. This kind of action is something I would see a "scorned woman" do after finding out the hubby was at the titty bar. Come on, we're adults here, aren't we?'
Give me a break.
this has been an emotional subject, rightfully or not, and will soon die down. it bothers all of us when we see people taking advantage of something we truely enjoy just to make a profit. they can do it if they like, but we don't have to like it.So far I am not impressed with this board. I'm not meaning to get excited about this. Nor do I want to lose any of the brotherhood we strongly protect here. I don't care what anyone does with what is theirs. This is the USA. I remember them teaching us in grade school about "supply and demand".Guys guys settle down. I am not looking to get impressed bro, just looking for some cool guys to hang out and talk about cigars with. I:thumbsup:this has been an emotional subject, rightfully or not, and will soon die down. it bothers all of us when we see people taking advantage of something we truely enjoy just to make a profit. they can do it if they like, but we don't have to like it.
we are a pretty tolerant bunch here for the most part, and i only say this because i live close to you. we are not here to impress you. if you want to hang out and read all the posts and get to know people that would be great.
I think that this is all part of cigar smoking/collecting.this has been an emotional subject, rightfully or not, and will soon die down. it bothers all of us when we see people taking advantage of something we truely enjoy just to make a profit. they can do it if they like, but we don't have to like it.

Because when most of the great bros here sell stuff, if and when it sometimes goes over msrp or purchased price they add more smokes to make up for it.I think that this is all part of cigar smoking/collecting.
As fans of cigars we buy, sell & trade.
Sometimes for a profit and sometimes for a loss.
How is what this guy on ebay doing any different than the folks on botl who auction their cigars?
There might be a double standard here...

Well said, and also in some auctions a brother in need is auctioning of some smokes and price can be driven up by those wishing to help a fellow brother out. I would imagine if someone was trying to gouge they would quickly be run off!Because when most of the great bros here sell stuff, if and when it sometimes goes over msrp or purchased price they add more smokes to make up for it.
