CT, Justin and Moro have provided you with the best advice as it relates to your cigars, in my opinion.

I purchased at a local shop, since I'm not too familar with cubans I brought them to another shop I frequent and asked them what they thought. Two guys and a girl that work there looked at it and all agreed they were genuine cubans. Also I have smoked a cohiba and a vegas rabaina (gifted by a brother) and they tasted very similar to what I bought.

Smoked 2 and still have this one. I got it at a local and brought it to another to make sure it was real. Two reputable places, so i'm sure its real.
Wish I could find it now, but I thought there was a few East Coast Shops discussed on another board which were known for selling fake CCs.

Issues I see.
1) you are dealing with the two most counterfeited brands and the two most counterfeited sizes in those brands if memory serves me correctly.

2) You bought them locally from a shop. This is very suspect.

3) The Esplendido band is from what would be aged stock. A local selling a Heavily counterfeited brand and size with a band that is from 7 plus year stock. Which is an easier to counterfeit band then new stock bands.

4) By your own words it appears the ink may have a blueish tint which is not visible in the pics.

That said Bands are piss from Cohiba. On another board someone bought the new SIGLO VI GRAN RESERVA from a known legit source. The band on one of the sticks was focked up. A 100.00 stick with a bad band.

You asked for Monte pics? I took this outside as the Macro feature on my cheap camera does not work well in low light so the band appears a little more washed out then it should.

If you want a closeup of the foot or cap on this Monte 2 let me know. Dont have a lot as I am not a big Monte guy. Dont like Cohibas either.

There's no blueish tint I just called the Cohiba lettering blue. The band looks fine to me, no color bleeding or anything like that. I'll have to send some of these out in bombs, then we will know one way or another.

Does the Cohiba have a triple cap? The pic does not really show it. If there is no triple cap then it is fugazi? Also how much did you pay for it?

Were the first 2 good? If so, enjoy the 3rd. I would refrain from selling or bombing it, just because of the uncertainty of your source. It could hurt your reputation unessesarily. I have had obvous fakes that still smoked well and tated good. my .02

I really liked the first two, also my brother got Cohiba cigarettes there too. They have all they new cohiba markings and are really different than any cigs I have ever had.
Thanks for the input.

I am sorry I didnt actually look at the band closely earlier. I would like a close up of the band, but from what I am seeing it is a clear fake.
Never mind the fact the shop is selling pre 2003 Cohiba Esplendidos for 20.

The band shown is a replica of the 93-03 band and it is wrong in a few ways.
1) The spacing of the white squares is wrong. They are to far apart.
2) Your band only has two rows of dots. Then a thick black section. Even if the band was cut short there should be a cut off section of white boxes, not a thick black section with no boxes
3) the coloration of the La Habana, Cuba. It appears wrong.

I would like a closeup of the band to verify the script of the La Habana, Cuba as this is another often messed up area.

-Look at the placing of the comma as to distance from the Habana and Cuba.
-Look at the C in Cuba, do the Curls in the script touch? Guarenteed fake if they do.

Please look at this picture and compare it to yours.

Here is the main page so you can see the other bands.

The following are some of the most common signs. The dots can be off, though those dots look really off. Your band only has two rows of dots.

You have to understand those of us with some experience are trying to help you not waste your money on fakes. No one is posting questions because we are jealous. We all know where and how to get Esplendidos we know are legit. We just dont like seeing people get scammed. Would love to see a close up of the band. If you cant manage this I can if you will mail me the band. You would honestly be much better off buying from a reputable authorized habanos vendor. That said if your mind is set and to some extent it appears it is, all of this was wasted effort. As someone who primarily has Cubans and only some NCs and have been doing this for some time, they look fake to me.

I don't think anyone on here would kick him in the shins for sending that cigar in a bomb... real or fake.

I don't see why they would sell me fake cubans, I'm one of their best customers.
I have smoked a Cohiba and a Vegas Robaina from a brother and the shop - they both had the same taste to them. I do notice what you are saying about the script it honestly looks faded because its old. I'll put up a close up in a few.
