Welcome to a great site.
:applause:

I am just down the block from you here in West Hills.

I am also a Cowboys fan, and an Angels fan. La Gloria Cubana is a consistent, well made and very underrated cigar. They never produced a Salomon however...are you thinking of the Paratgas Salomones?

Anyway, welcome aboard!

Welcome Michael!!
You have great taste....The Padron Anni is the best, just can't afford them!
I hear ya. The 40th Padron is differently not my every day smoke. It is only a special occasion smoke. I try and treat myself once a quarter. I take advantage of the 20% or 25% off everything sales that come around every once in a while. The best I have done was the day after Christmas last year, I got 5 Padron Serie 1926 80th Maduro's for $100.00. Not too bad.

Love the site - Thanks for the warm welcome everyone

They may have not called it a Salomon - I picked it out of "The Secret Drawer" in a shop about an hour and a half away from me. It definitely had that similar shape. The one I smoked was beautifully aged and covered with plume. They stuck it to me though for $35.00 per stick. I know the shop and hope to get back over there someday. A buddy and I smoke them in the shop over a game of chess and a bottle of Cabernet. Both of us agreed, it was the best cigar we ever smoked. I have searched the Internet and have not found the shape. I did see it in another shop about a year before and ended up buying something else. I will let you know if and when I figure out what they call it.

Welcome to the Brotherhood, mate! Excellent intro!

The LGC ye speak of was discontinued in the 70's...unless it is the NC one.

Wow, you sound like you know your cigars. Is the NC one the La Gloria Cubana Reserva Figurado? That one is only a 49 ring size. This was differently bigger. I may have to make a special trip over to the shop to figure this one out.

Cuban La Gloria Cubana had the "Flechas", which were a double figurado. But they went out of production in the 70's. This is a photo (Clearly not mine):

Meanwhile, the Dominican Republic La Gloria Cubana released a Limited Edition called LGC Reserva. It came in 3 different vitolas with 2 different wrappers each. As for where to buy the latter, found this to be the 1st link that sells them: http://www.cigarsinternational.com/prodDisp.asp?item=CS-1RA
