EP Carrillo Edicion Inaugural...anyone had one yet?

I bought one over the weekend at Outlaw cigar while in Kansas city for the day. This also happened to be their monthly party day so Ernesto was there himself to promote his release.
I was a little hesitant with the $15 price tag,but thought I needed to support the leaf any way possible- so My buddy and I both purchased one to try while hanging out at the party.
I'm not one to write reviews, so that's why I didn't post this in the review thread- I've smoked cigars for quite a while and I still have a tough time noticing hints of tarragon in my stogies...with that being said-this cigar blew like a $3 hooker!
Not that it was foul tasting, but it really lacked any kind of flavor whatsoever.
I'm usually a mild- medium kinda guy who's always content with a good Oliva or Rocky Patel so maybe I'm biased,I dunno.
For $15 I got the shaft! I'm not the only one at the event that felt that way, in fact- I didn't talk to anyone that was impressed with it.
So, what I'm gettin' at is it just me and a few others I was around or has anyone smoked this and enjoyed it?
I was rather disappointed with Ernesto on his "release" Being priced as more of a "boutique" price tag, I just hope he has better offerings in the future.

I'm sorry to hear that. I was just researching this cigar last night as I read from industry respected people that this was one of the best cigars of the year and it blew them away. I read a lot of good reviews and I am going to be on a mission to find one, so it sucks to hear you say that...

But I guess that's why everyone has different tastes... I will still try it.

I loved the one I got (check the review if you don't believe me ...

I would say that if you tasted almost no flavor at all, you got a bad stick...This thing is FULL of flavor, from start to finish, imho...

Well the one that i have had so far was handed to me by Erensto himself.on dec 3rd, (much small man then i expected) any way, I loved the stick. I am a huge fan of the la gloria series R #7. I have pics and a full review later. My local B&M will not sell me a box, but i have 4as of now trying to get more. Give this stick a second try I sure you will not be disappointed. I can not wait to see what he comes up with next. :stretchgr

Personally I think the new EPC is a great cigar. We gave them away at our Post Turkey Day Crawl ( thanks Ernie)..and everyone liked them. I do know that Tobacco Gallery here in Dallas has a good supply of them (and Bob will ship). I bought my box this week and will probably get another this week.

I smoked one of these from the trade show after all the hype they were getting. Didnt blow me away. I remember it being very one dimensional, and for the price there ae just a ton of other things I'd rather smoke. I should probably try another one, because it seems like a lot of people are having a different experience with this smoke. Seems to me like they are a little inconsistent.

The ones at the trade show were just a couple of weeks old--at most. So I would recommend re-visiting it again. But that said it may not be to everyone's taste. I like it.
