I lost about 15 lbs. in 2009, but I was still fat (From 270 down to 255). In 2010 I'm going to lose 55+ lbs. That will get me down to 200. At 6'2, that is a good weight for me. The first two weeks of exercising was kind of difficult, but at the end of the third week I'm back to being addicted.

What are you guys doing to lose the weight?

Well, I was 300 at the begining of 09... I was down to 240ish... but got lazy mid year, and shot up to about 270 more or less...
Doing the BOTL biggest loser, ready to get going again, maybe down to 220 within the 8 weeks (I WISH!!!)

Gym 5 days a week (mostly cardio)
Spinning 2 days a week (for now) and Stairmasters / jogging the other 3.
I've been having a hard time getting back into that 5 day schedule, but I look forward to a healthier year!

I am not able to do things I love to do. I can do them, but I can't do what I used to do. Over the past 12 years, my body has turned into a flabolanch. Time is not an issue for me. My goal is 5lbs per month. Losing weight too fast has negative consequences. When I was younger, I was extremely fit. I know about diet, cardio, and weight lifting. Cardio will help me, but building lean muscle mass is the key. The lean muscle mass increases the metabolism. It's just hard to change a crappy 12 year old lifestyle. Luckily, my body type will allow my to bounce back quickly. However, the same body type will allow me to crash just as fast.

Man that's a great goal, I'd love to get down that far in that short of time but I'm afraid I'd put it back on as soon as I stopped dieting. I was 150 lbs, 8% body fat when I got married at 30 some 22 years ago. Married an Italian woman whose mother insisted it was a sin to not finish everything on your dinner plate, trouble is she kept dumping more onto it. It wasn't until we were married for 10 years that I felt comfortable telling her mom that it would be more of a sin to leave her Grand kids fatherless because of a heart attack. That woman single handedly packed 120 pounds on me, I guess a management position sitting behind a desk might have something to do with it as well. :innocent:

190 lbs, that's my ultimate goal for whenever. No real timetable. It took me a lot of years to pack it on I figure the best way to keep it off is to lose it slowly. It would sure be nice to see my toes again! Good luck guys.

At my heaviest I was Over 335, right now I am at 295, and my goal is 245, but more important to me is getting back into a size 34 jeans. I am between 40 and 42.

I was 272 at the beginning of 2009. I am down to 210. Goal is 195. Modified Soutj Beach diet. Very careful with my carbs. Only complex carbs...whole grains etc. Started running and now at 3.5 miles six days a week almost without fail. I do 4.5 on Saturdays. I seem plateaued at 210 going up a few and down a few. The real ticket is the excercise. I can feel the difference on the days I dont run.

Hell, I'm not losing a damn thing! I spent the last 7+ years being forced to keep my weight @170-180 (Army), and I'm now looking forward to packing on a few pounds before I get serious about taking them off again!

Started hitting the gym again about 3 months ago. Down about 15 pounds already, 298 to 283 or so. I'm 6' tall, 34 years old. Did tons of heavy lifting when I was younger and got pretty big and strong at one point, but stopped for a long time. Diet is the key for me, but I have been doing plenty of lifting and cardio and core work (which I hate, but I know it's good for the golf game). I have no real goal weight, just wanna look sexy again for the ladies...

That is why guys want to be fit. Chicks and your junk looks bigger if you are skinny.

By the way, -5.4lbs after 3 weeks.

I think I'm going to try to lose about 10 pounds or so. I've picked up a few pounds over the holidays. I'm short and my weight doesn't really change much but has been creeping up a little.
