Like my boy Larry, I too am a lover of Good Hefeweizen beer!
Some of my other favorites are:

Full Moon (Holiday version of Blue Moon)
Kartoon Brune by 5 Seasons Brewery (Local Microbrewery)
Duvel (Belgian Ale)
Sweet Georgia Brown by Sweetwater Brewing
Hummer by Sweetwater (With a Slice or Two of Orange):applause:
One I forgot is "The Love" by Starr Hill.

I'm gonna have to try that one by SweetWater, you can't beat a good Hummer!

I have tried Sweet Georgia Brown and it's real good!

Sweetwater is great. Keep an eye out for Donkey Punch and their IPA. Both great beers. The ladies love Sweetwater blue!

Some other beers to keep an eye out for:
Founders- ANY (double IPA is my favorite)
Dogfish Head- 60 minute IPA
Breckenridge- 471 batch double IPA (colorado)
Great Divide- ANY (Hercules double IPA is GREAT) (colorado)
Kind Beer (brewed in SC, company out of NC)

And for you guys that like Hefeweizens, this is my go to wheat beer:

You can find it in the European section in most package stores.

If you guys can find it you gotta try Sweetwater's Happy Ending. Its a nice smooth Imperial Stout. Its a seasonal beer that happens to be in season NOW!

Ive been trying some different microbrews, love anything Dogfish Head makes. Piraate was good and so was Samual Smith's Oatmeal Stout. My favorite is The Abyss although it is downright expensive. If you want to try a strong great tasting beer I would suggest that one.

Now if you want to try one with some kick try the Dogfish Head Palo Santo Marron.

An unfiltered, unfettered, unprecedented brown ale aged in handmade wooden brewing vessels. The caramel and vanilla complexity unique to this beer comes from the exotic Paraguayan Palo Santo wood from which these tanks were crafted. Palo Santo means "holy tree" and it's wood has been used in South American wine-making communities.

This beer is a 12% abv, highly roasty, and malty brown ale aged on the Palo Santo wood. It was a huge hit at our Rehoboth Beach brewpub when first released in November of 2006, Palo went into full production at the end of 2007.

At 10,000 gallons, our Palo Tank is the largest wooden brewing vessel built in America since before Prohibition (and we have two same-sized Oak tanks right next to it).

Original Release Date: 12/2007

Food Pairing Recommendations: Steak, chorizzo sausage, cajun cuisine, farmhouse cheddar

Glassware Recommendation: Pint

Tasting Notes: caramel, vanilla, paraguayan palo santo wood

Wine Comparable: Oak Aged Cabernet

Shiner Black, Chimay Blue and Beamish stout work for me. In the summer I like my homemade perry and hard cider. If I'm in Belize I like Belikan Dark.

I'll chime in....an EPI 2 and Trader Joes Vintage...or a Trini Funadore alongside a Mogollon Brewery Apache Trout Stout...yummy

Seems a good cigar can improve just about anything, eh?

Cheers

For me, nothing beats an ice cold Anchor Steam while enjoying my cigar. Second choice would be Stone IPA, followed by a Franziskaner Hefe-Weisse.

Nice to see a shout out to the beer out there, besides you cant always have liquor and wine on a warm summer day while smoking a stick.

Id have to go with:
1. New Glaurus Spotted Cow
2. New Glaurus Staghorn
3. Sprecher Special Amber
4. chimay (Blue or White)
5. New Belgium 1554

The first three are micro brews in wisconsin and tough to get outside the state, but defiantly worth making the effort to get.
I do like that Sprecher beer. And I can attest that it is hard to get outside of Wisconsin. I normally like to smoke with a light beer that isn't to hoppy. But I imagine I would enjoy a Sprecher or an Abita Amber while smoking.

I happen to be close to a microbrwery that has a first class brewer. On top of that they welcome in guest brewers to make small batches of their liking. They even have some barrel aged beers made in house. I count myself lucky for that.

Sounds Yummy Larry... Do they sell that in the southeast?

Has anyone had Golden Draak before? Worth the price?
Guldan Draak is a great cigar beer, tons of flavor and its not overly thick so you get full after one glass. I am a big fan of it on tap, but the bottles are still pretty good. Definatly worth trying to see if its for you
