This is a great thread cause I am particular about aging or not aging cigars for too long cause they can often loose strength. The reason that Original Doc and Epernay dont loose their luster with some age is because the cigar does not just depend on mere stength for its qualities. The cigar is blended full in flavor, therefore the drop of strength that it may or may not loose is not as important as a straight out ligero monster.

Just my opinion. And yes, they age wonderfully, but hard to hold onto.

I bought a box of MK's from CigarPlace.biz and they showed up with a box date of 07. There must be a warehouse with a good stock of them from that time period.
That's where I bought my MKs. Can't hardly beat their price. I can't remember the box date on it though.

Excellent point and worth noting when thinking about purchasing based strictly on strength.

The oldest Illusiones I currently have are some ECCJs (they only have about a year on them) and to tell you the truth, I find it difficult to pick out much of a difference between them and the new Le Monde...

Both are very tasty.

NiceAshCigars used to have wicked prices on them, but they have since raised them to MSRP. I picked up a box of Cruzados from them for ~120.

I have to pay 7% extra to the tax man when I buy from CigarPlace, but it is normally well worth it. They almost always show up within one or two days.

Cant wait until I move to Colorado, but I'll be taking a big income hit too.:wtf:

Thanks for the info, JD. I like it when other manufacturer's post about sticks they like that are NOT theirs :smokingbo

Yea, my problem is they are too hard to hold onto! I am planning to stash some away at some point, though, just to see what happens (unless I stumble across some already aged ones).
