I get that almost everyone hates Acids, but I have a spot for em... The first cigar I smoked on a semi-regular basis was a Kuba, now I smoke them every once and a while, It's been a month since my last. With that said, I still enjoy smoking them as almost a treat smoke.

x2 there's no shame in smoking what you like.
I'm glad others feel like that... there are a few "cigar snobs" around StL that seem to think you are the antichrist if you smoke anything infused. I enjoy the fact that my tastes vary so much, sure it's a bit expensive :cbig: but it's so fun to get new smokes and try em out!

you sure? I asked another guy picking up Tats and he said it was as well....
Yup, plume does not appear fuzzy at all. It is crystalline and will be reflective under light...it will not have a fuzzy appearance. Vitolas had a great post regarding this but sadly it is no longer available....

Also, those cigars are not nearly old enough to have developed plume. If they were stored out of the tube in a shop it could also be residue from the humidifier, but I am 99% sure it is mold....

With that said, if we can get a FOG to confirm that would be great. I would never rely on someone in a shop (customer or employee) to tell the difference as most are told by shop owners it is plume and they continue to believe and perpetuate this....

Also, pictures also make it hard to tell sometimes so a close up would be great. But, based on the age of those sticks alone, it is mold....

I thought by it being more sparkly than dull it was plume. Also it brushed off versus stained the stick... It is a crappy picture though...

Try this:

There are so many topics on this, some are wrong, wives tales, etc and you have to wade through the mess. Bottom line, if it is fuzzy at all, in any way, it is mold.

Also, not all mold stains the wrapper. The variety you appear to have is not that bad as it can be wiped off easily. If, however, you notice it on the foot of the cigar in the filler, toss it...

In looking at the cigars, I'm 99% sure it's plume... It's not fuzzy at all and is kinda crystalized. I think the picture is just that bad and made it look fuzzy...

Be hard pressed to believe a cigar less than 1yr old has plume.
They were stored at the B&M I got em from with no cello... so it could have been from their humidifier... I'm hoping they used distilled water, but I'm not positive... I wiped it and it came off with no problem so I'm not too worried about it being mold.
