Well you are mistaken, I was making a valid fact that is all. Do you have any facts to prove that the Drac boxes did not smell like varnish?. Do you have any facts that the Red Tubos did not have a problem? Now another problem arises, just another fact. Or are you calling all of those people who stated they had issues liars.
Dont you think that there should be a better quality control issue there? Not Petes fault, does that mean that he should not get credit for the cigars people think are good? If I owned a company I would want a good quality control system in place.

How is it a fact, when the la Ricky's aren't the only sticks like that? You made it seem like they were. It's been happening before the La Ricky's even hit the stores. I'm not one to be childish and argue over the internet in the first place.

I can agree w/ your other "facts", though I've had good luck w/ red tubo's. What was wrong with yours? Mine smoke fine... Not as good as the East or West, but that's a given.

Getting back to the OP, it is no big deal. It is common with the type of "old-school" gold embossed bands that Pete is using. Hell, I can't remember a box of Cuban Hoyos that didn't have the same exact look. The darker wrapper on your box just makes it stand out more.

Enjoy 'em.

I for one have never had a cigar with gold sparkles. Nor would I pay for one with gold sparkles. Once again it seems like some on here cannot let someone have a bad opinion of that brand. I dont act like that when someone does not like a brand I enjoy. To each his own. It is a forum anyhow.
And by the way I have not bought for awhile nor will I buy that overpriced brand again. And was it not you who started the childish arguement when you came to the rescue of someone else?

"Fail" probably means; you failed to make a valid point. If I'm not mistaken, you were the one crying about it. Justin was just pointing out La Ricky bands aren't the only bands that let off gold specks. I've seen them on a lot of the cuban'esque type bands, w/ gold on them. It's not Pete's fault, it's the person producing the bands more so than anything.
What the heck does "Fail" mean. Oh, I forgot no one can say anything about this brand of cigars on here without some baby crying about it. Only the opinion of Tat smokers is what is important.
This is an open forum, anyone should be able to say what they want without being attacked.
Maybe you should buy real Cubans then you wont have that problem.

my box of 2001 slr lonsdales have some gold dust on them. i would not consider this to be a defect by any sort...just something good to look at while smoking in the moonlight...

now the plugged sticks from the early 2000's is a defect that everyone talks about when mentioning bad years...bands never get mentioned funny enough.
