I like the site I do comparable shopping though. I find my max and stick to it. Have found some good deals. They come in good shape and fast delivery.

Mine come USPS get them in two days in AZ. Check your profile and see if they have a different shipping option.
I contacted CBid and requested that all my packages be sent USPS only. They said that's fine... but for bids over i think $50 they said to expect an additional cost for insurance, depending on the amount.

I love CBid. Have saved many many hundreds of dollars on that site. Good for us that aren't baller status quite yet.

Cigar Bid needs to add additional shipping options. Sometimes UPS Ground is not good enough.
I just emailed them and told them I want all my orders shipped USPS instead of UPS and my orders always arrive on Saturday. You may pay a couple bucks more depending on what you order, but it gets here a hell of a lot quicker.

Bid your price on the item you want once. An hour prior to close, if you are available. If you don't win, you will have another shot in a few days.

CBid is great. Cigar Auctioneer is where I've been buying mostly now though. Just a change of pace thing. I've tried a lot of cigars I might not buy at regular price and that alone had been worth the effort.

I agree, it's worth looking at both. You'll find that certian brands go for more (sometimes much more) on one site, and others on the other site. Interesting.

Of course, the key to ANY auction site is to be okay LOOSING most of the time, and waiting to snag that truly great deal.

Here's a tip: bid EARlY, and bid on the ONE-DAY AUCTIONS (called "Quickies" on cbid). It's simple odds: if it's an item like a full box of such-and-such, you're more likely to get outbid if it's up for 5 days than if it's up for only one day. Most of the best deals I've won in auctions have been on one day auctions (like a box of Tat Victorias for $77, and a box of La Aurora Perferidos Maduro Robusto for $99)..

Yes... yes I have

One time I bid on and won 2 10-packs of a Camacho sampler so basically I won 4 each of 5 different robustos. My wife was home when UPS delivered by package. Then 45 minutes later he showed up again with 2 more boxes saying that he didn't realize these were mine too. When I got home I opened the first box and found my order. Then I looked at the other two packages and found that they had other addresses on them but had MY address on the shipping label. They contained the EXACT same order. I called Cigarbid to see if they wanted me to send them back and they said no... by the time they paid me for shipping if wasn't worth it to them. So I got 60 Camacho robusto cigars for $55 shipped!!! Woohoo!!!

The only thing that sucked... I had to buy a humi to put em in as I didn't have near enough room for all of em
you lucky lucky dog. :grinFU:

I think I'm going to enjoy stalking and trying to get some deals.
That's the part I like most , but then I've always been that way at everything. While I've not bid on much from CB, I have never had a bad experience (other than being outbid :argh:).

Ive won 1 auction and consider it successful. Ive bid on a couple other things I didnt need and glad I lost. The only advice I have is alway do the auto bid. even if it is only 1 increment highter. I think/know that people have a tendance not to bid if they see that they are only going to get outbid by your autobid.
