Oh man, you just made me realize that I've been nerding out on beer for almost a decade-and-a-half. Oh man, I feel old.Been drinking IPA's for over a dozen years and prefer DFH nowadays... Just like cigars, everyone has there own taste for things. Does it make us all wrong for liking a certain brand? Will I stop drinking it because you named off a dozen that you like?....wait... don't answer that, it's a rhetorical question.
Plus I get 25oz mugs of it for 6 bucks and get to watch hot ladies pour it for me, which really doesn't suck!
That aside...
So no, it doesn't make you wrong to express an opinion that is not the same as another person's opinion, but think about it like this: If you were reading a beer forum and a guy showed up singing the praises of your standard R y J's and your run of the mill Fonsecas, wouldn't you think to yourself that this hypothetical guy may need his horizons broadened? It isn't that they are BAD smokes, but you know in your heart-of-hearts that there is more that the cigar industry has to offer... Being the beer nerd that I am (and only having begun my exploration of the cigar universe), it kills me to read people talking about pair some of these fabulous cigars with the likes of Blue Moon or Stella... it doesn't mean they are "wrong," but just that they may be missing out on other experiences/flavors/etc...
...And don't get me wrong, I would drink the DFH 90min if it were the only IPA available and I felt like an IPA. I'm not here trying to call it swill, or piss; however, I am of the not-so-humble opinion that Beerland has more balanced IPAs to offer someone. If I were this kid and I was going to hole myself up in Minnesota for the next 9 months, I would take something other than 90 minute.
