OK I have now smoked a half dozen of these in different sizes from different B&M's and it doesn't do anything for me. I really want to like it because of the price point and reviews I have read but I am not getting much of any flavor. Each one has been pretty much the same. I know my taste buds are not off as I put down the La Trav with a few inches to go and lit up an NHC reserva which smoked awesome. What am I missing here? What flavors are you guys getting?

Can't really speak to the CAO LT, as I've only smoked one...although I too wasn't that impressed.

This is a good idea for a thread "I don't get it" cigars....LOL. The one that jumps to mind for me is the LFD Air Bender, cuz I really don't get the fanfare on that one either.

Like what you smoke, smoke what you like.

What's the problem?

If ya don't "get it"...don't buy it! Not difficult to figure out! This is what makes our hobby so amazing and wonderful - there are cigars out there for ALL of us!

its strange, I am having the same issue with Nosotros. Can't get anything of enjoyment out of it either. My taste buds have been in a zone this week as everything I have been smoking I have been picking up flavors as good as ever...Carrillo short run, San Cristobal, NHC. Then poof I smoke the La Tav and nothing. Is it logical to think certain flavor profiles get blocked out by different people?

trust me I get that and I agree. 6 is the limit with the La Trav I am afraid. Just wondering what is the dominant flavor folks are getting that I am not picking up.

The cigars you've listed here are all excellent smokes.....so perhaps these are just superior cigars to the CAO, Nosotros etc. (for you and many others perhaps)....

So, keep on doin' the same!

BLASPHAMY! lol. Kyle, you and I typically have very similar tastes, and I know you like LFDs, but I've heard you say this before and I'm surprised. The Bender (lol, clearly it wasn't a Brit who came up with that name!!) might just be my favorite LFD, though the DL Maduro I had last week was fantastic.

I have had maybe 6-7 of them, and one was off (basically no flavor during the entire middle third), but the rest were great. Lots of the LFD dried-fruit-sweetness and some nice spice.

Maybe try them again? Although, you don't like Illusione either, so maybe you're a lost cause :eyebrow:

I've smoked about a half box of La Traviatas, I really enjoy the. Tried the maduro and IPCPR and it's a great one as well... IMO. I agree on the Nosotros, which surprised me, I got a sample from the show last year and loved it but tried a couple of them after release and they didn't do it for me.

I REALLY like the La Traviata intrepido. Mostly I pick up some leather in the first 1/3 and then it transistions to a real chocolaty rich flavor and finishes with a bit of vanilla for me. In fact because of the price it has turned into one of my go to smokes.

I've tried one of the maduros and found it to be too sweet for me. It wasn't bad, and honestly I was a bit surprised I felt that it was almost too sweet as I used to be a diehard maduro guy.

I'm also in the 'I don't get it' boat on the La Traviata. People say it's great for the price, but it's a waste of money to me. I tried one and wasn't insulted by the cigar, but I wouldn't pay for another.

La Trav is one of the only CAO cigars I like...and the price is good too. I love the Air Benders. I can see what you're sayin about the Nosotros. I've had a few and I really can't enjoy it at all until I get past the initial taste. I would smoke more, but I wont buy more.

I like the CAO La Traviata Divino (5x50) and Animados (5 5/8x46), tastes are right on and the prices are right.

If you don't like them try the Brickhouse, different flavor and taste and they are priced similar to the CAO La Traviata.

LOL....my apologies Nate. And you're right, for the most part you and I have a lot of the same faves I've noticed over the past 1-2 years. And I do enjoy LFD's, but not as much as most. The Small Batch 2 is my favorite Litto stick, and the Mysterio I tried a month or so ago comes in 2nd. I have a lot left to try in this line, but the Air benders I had (and I bought a box mind you), didn't smoke all that well (drew poorly), and more importantly the flavors didn't hit for me at all.

I did however enjoy the Nosotros I smoked Nate (a total of ONE...LOL!), so don't lose all hope in me just yet brutha ;).

I'm no fan of these...found them boring, but I'm hoping the Maduro will change my mind. Just have to wait and see.
As far as the Brickhouse...Next to the Casa Magna, for the price, I feel are two of the best sticks out there.

The CAO LT was Ok, but it still seems a little to mild for my taste over all. I will give the Maduro a shot and see what I think.
