Just won another Auction. This time it is for a Sig Sauer P220. I hear it's one of the best .45's uber double actions out there. And should fit in nice with my collection.

So let's hear it Sig guys!! Post your Sig Sauer pride and let me know what model of Sig you own.:bangbang:

I got a very used P220 at an auction that shows a lot of wear. But it shoots so great! Nice and loose- it's like buttah. My brother in law bought a brand new P220 around the same time and his just seems too tight. I love my broke-in P220. Also have a P239 in .40 and it's a great size for concealment.

I carry a p220 and wouldn't trade it for anything. Still kicking myself in the butt for not buying a p6 for $200 when they flooded the market a few years back.

P226 two-tone in the safe. Always been a Sig Fan. Wanted a 229 when I went shopping for my first pistol, but the wife wanted something with an actual safety, so we went with the HK USP Compact. Can't say as I've ever regretted that, but I do love Sig products.

interchangeable barrels. 9mm, sig.357 and .40cal
Nope... That would be 9mm or 357/40. You can't put a 9mm bbl in a 357/40 nor can you put a 357/40 bbl in a 9mm although the 357 sig and 40sw do interchange.

But yes, these are awesome defense guns but IMO way too heavy for concealed carry.

True, there are aftermarket barrels that allow the the .40. 357 model to handle the 9mm.

Dont' forget the 9mm uses a different recoil spring and of course 9mm magazines.

Came back to say that I like reloading the 357sig. The bottleneck case makes it inherently good for flawless feeding. Early-on the brass was expensive but now with more law enforcement agencies using it, it is a good choice. Do not expect it to perform like a 357 magnum however. It can only duplicate the lightest 357 magnum loads.

Thanks for posting the pic's and the positive feedback about the P220's. The one I'm getting is an older made in W. Germany model. It's condition is estimated to be around 85% by the seller.

It should ship this week. So hopefully, I'll have it by next week at the latest. I'm really looking forward to getting this gun and taking it to the range.

The wifey carries a P250 compact in 9mm. I've never been a real fan of DAO, but this ones smooth as butter dripping off a ducks arse. If Sig can ever get some conversion kits to market I'd like to get the .40 s&w kit.

I've always thought Sigs were nice, just a bit pricey for my taste.

Definitely some good hardware, but bang for buck...I'll stick with my Glocks

When it comes to "self protection" a gun can never be to heavy in my opinion!
