Seriously bro, man up. How many threads are you going to start about cigars making you sick? This is 3 by my count. I am not sure how enjoyable the experience would be if you get sick every time. Cigars, like anything else, are not for everybody.

Not as often as I'd like...
2-3 per week and usually in the afternoon or evening. The weather is frikkin' fantastic in Texas right now and we have almost all of our North/South windows open in the evening. Consequently, I have passed up my smoke on the patio while listening to the yelping coyotes and the baying cattle... opting instead to let my lady enjoy the fresh air that flows thru the house.

But, I do keep a Herf-A-Dor in my truck for when things slow down and I can sit awhile and not have to drive and smoke at the same time. I too, prefer to sit and do nothing else but smoke when I do get the time.

The guy who told you that probably believes it in order to justify his own behavior to himself.

While smoking tabacco is certainly not a healthy habit, one advantage of cigars over cigarettes is that it is quite possible to enjoy an occasional cigar and not get addicted. On the other hand, I can't see why anyone would be attracted to cigarettes for reasons other than the nicotine. Almost nobody smokes a cigarette once a week just for the taste (why bother? they taste like crap!), but there are plenty of people who do exactly that with cigars.

As for me, I probably average about 2-3 per week nowadays. And when winter hits in full force so that smoking outdoors is impossible, I smoke only on the occassional visit to a cigar parlor, which is maybe once per month.

( I refuse to smoke in my home or car, and I live in Minnesota where winters and public smoking bans are equally extreme!)

Usually 1 or 2 a week, but during the playoffs and World Series, I smoke one during each Giants game - my friends will text me and make sure I have one going for good luck. So far it's working.

To the OP, stay hydrated, smoke slowly, try not to inhale, and most importantly know when to set a cigar down rather than get sick.

Unlike cigarettes, cigars are not chemically enhanced(amonia) to get the nicotine into your system right away. The result is a slow onset of the nicotine into your blood stream. If you start to feel a buzz creeping up, know that it will continue to ramp up slightly even if you lay the cigar down.

Most cigars are fine after a re-light anyway.

Somebody had to say it. It's not just him, though. This is the 2nd or 3rd thread about this I've seen this week.

Typically I smoke 1-2 per week.
During the summer it can vary by as much as 5-6 per week and during the winter it can go way down to 1-2 per month.
So far in October I think I have had 5-6 cigars, and three of those were in 1 sitting.

No I do not smoke cigarettes.

"How often do you smoke?"

To be truthful, the only time I'm not smoking a cigar is when I'm sleeping....but I've been smoking cigars for close to 35 years....and I smoke between 4-6 a day! :cbig:
The only part of this I cannot relate to is the 35 years part. Not even 35 yet, so definitely not smoking that long, but long live the 4-6 a day smokers I say Larry!!!

I'm 19, in college, and broke. Can't really afford to smoke cigars everyday, nor do I think I would want to. I enjoy cigars probably 1-2 times a week, depending when I have classes and the weather outside. I am also proud to say that I am not a cigarette smoker. Haven't smoked ONE. EVER. Hard to believe eh? Well that's my schpeel. :skew:

that's why you smoke in the garage.

Between School, work, community service, and working out I hardly have time to smoke anymore so i rarely smoke more than one or two a week.

Yea I probably only smoke 1 or 2 a week, but I don't mind as it keeps smoking an experience that I really look forward to and savor.

Errr...that was only part of the thread.

I was also just curious to see how often everyone here smokes. Whether it's a daily thing, weekly, monthly?

I apologize for bad first impressions. It seems you really don't like me much. Sorry.
