I hope Sam moves on to greater things. I enjoyed the Cain Maduro. Although I'm not a Nub guy, I can totally respect the fact he made that particular size a success. He was the most innovative thing for Oliva so far. Other than the Series V, I think Oliva is a pretty boring brand. You get what you pay for. The Cain at least had some bang for the buck.

I was beginning to think I was the only one, Ive never really found anything too special from Oliva. Good cigars yes, but nothing that really got me excited.

you know what? I have always championed Oliva, especially the V, but you're right. Not an exciting brand of smokes, just good. The G is good if you like Cammy wrappers, The V is really good, the O is just soso. The cloth bands and toilet seat box were really cool, but thoe days are gone, as are the cigars.

I`ve always liked Olivas offerings the V in particular. Nub and cain cigars are some of my favorites. This would explain why the NubLive cigar forums disappeared a week or 2 ago. I know a few of the brothers here used to frequent NubLive.

As long as Nub's Box Pressed Cameroons and Habano Torpedos, along with the Cain Nub Habano stay available, I'll stay happy.

And I'm planning on having my first Serie "V" tonight, Just need to pick between the Double Robusto and the Special "V" Figurado... Probably the robusto.
