I had seen cheroots advertized in catalogs, and I was intrigued by their history more than anything else. (For those who do not know, a cheroot is a tightly packed cigar that originated in East Asia long before anyone in the Americas was rolling cigars) And one day I was in a parlor and noticed they had two-packs of Parodi's for sale, so I gave them a try.

They were so-so. The finish had some spice, but there wasn't much body. I felt as if I was at a burger place and was eating a bun loaded with condiments but no burger. Still, I at least satisfied my curiosity and had my chance to "experience history". And the price was dirt cheap. lol

Does anyone have a brand of cheroot that they recommend?

If nothing else, they look cool!

Nope, but definitely curious to hear the responses. I've heard of them before as well, but never had one.

Hey, Dan... you didn't have the LFD... you had the My Father El Picador. (I mean, I don't think you have.) But I've heard exquisite things about the LFD's!!

Where can I find the Origen Originals? Preferably online... I can't seem to find them other than in bricks of 12 packs.

The LFD from empire was great. It has been a few months since I have been in there are they no longer making them? I know the El Picador is newer in the store and have yet to try it but that LFD was a great little smoke.

A few months....a few months, you better get your butt back up there Ranger. Yes, LFD is still making the Cheroot for Empire Cigars. I personally prefer the My Father "El Picador" myself. :cbig:

Wow, here I thought I was asking about something really obscure. But leave it to BOTL's to really know their stuff when it comes to cigars.

thanks for the feedback, everyone
