They do look good, this part was interesting:
"Sao Salvador cigars arrive on the market after serving a period of 10 days of freezing at a temperature of -20 degrees Celcius and a minimum maturity of 60 days with controlled temperature and humidity, a process necessary to ensure the purity of flavor that a PREMIUM cigar requires."

I know the guys on Dogwatch Cigar podcast enjoyed one of the cigars off Cigars of Brazil. I do love a good Brazilian wrapper though.
Yeah me too, gonna have to try and get my hands on a few. Damn it Clint! I was determined not to spend any more on smokes this year!! :hammersma

Yeah, Dogwatch has reviewed a couple of Brazilian cigars. I personally have a liking for that CAO MX2 for the same reason of the Brazilian tobacco. I can't get that same taste anywhere else...even though the construction on those sticks has become less than stellar lately, too many plugged ones. From the interviews the guys did, it sounded like the Mata notre tobacco was the one to watch for if you are looking for more full bodied stronger smokes.

The only cigars I've ever tried with Brazilian tobacco are (of course) the CAO, which didn't impress me at all. The other, Dona Flor, was an amazing smoke. If I can remember right, the biggest flavors were nuts, leather and cedar. The rep was at the Davidoff store in NYC on Madison and gifted me one.

Hey Clint...I'd be up for a 5'r if we can get a few guys in on a box split? Just saying...
Great idea, but it looks like these only come in "packs" of 5.

I have been doing more and more searching on these and other Brazilian cigars...Really interesting stuff!

I'm waiting to hear back from a manufacturer actually in Brazil, which is one of the oldest and has some really cool history that ties directly to Cuba.

Stay tuned!

Let me know what they say. I'll order direct if it's possible. Thanks!

I love Dona Flors.. I keep an eye out for them, but don't want to buy a whole box.

Box split?? LMK!

Ron (curibitarex) and I have been PM'ing about these and other Brazilian cigars. He has some great knowledge and experience, plus he lives in Brazil (!!).

We are trying to source out these and some other brands, so we will post here if anyone else is interested in splits :)

There is a shop in Amarillo that carries the Dona Flors and Monte Pascoals which are both great cigars. You can order off his website. PM for the info if you are interested.

Pass, not enough out there for you already Clint?
LOL

Always willing to try something new :)

All I know is that I enjoy the J Fuego, who uses the Brazilian Mata Fina leaf as his wrapper on the Origen line....And I absolutely love the T 52, which uses the same leaf as the binder....All of these point to Brazil as a "Country of interest" for me at the moment! :)

Got ya, you added so many freaking extra sticks for the SODO purchase I have enough things to try already myself. Happy smoking the Brazilian leaf.
