Came across this website, and man...Those SAO Salvadors on the left look really tasty!

Anyone have any experience with these?

I know the mata fina wrapper (used by J Fuego and Drew Estate) is nice...Perhaps these are good. (?)

Yes! That's what piqued my interest! I know you can't always "judge a book by the cover", but those really look tasty, huh?

Yeah, Dogwatch has reviewed a couple of Brazilian cigars. I personally have a liking for that CAO MX2 for the same reason of the Brazilian tobacco. I can't get that same taste anywhere else...even though the construction on those sticks has become less than stellar lately, too many plugged ones. From the interviews the guys did, it sounded like the Mata notre tobacco was the one to watch for if you are looking for more full bodied stronger smokes.

The only cigars I've ever tried with Brazilian tobacco are (of course) the CAO, which didn't impress me at all. The other, Dona Flor, was an amazing smoke. If I can remember right, the biggest flavors were nuts, leather and cedar. The rep was at the Davidoff store in NYC on Madison and gifted me one.

I have been doing more and more searching on these and other Brazilian cigars...Really interesting stuff!

I'm waiting to hear back from a manufacturer actually in Brazil, which is one of the oldest and has some really cool history that ties directly to Cuba.

Ron (curibitarex) and I have been PM'ing about these and other Brazilian cigars. He has some great knowledge and experience, plus he lives in Brazil (!!).

We are trying to source out these and some other brands, so we will post here if anyone else is interested in splits

All I know is that I enjoy the J Fuego, who uses the Brazilian Mata Fina leaf as his wrapper on the Origen line....And I absolutely love the T 52, which uses the same leaf as the binder....All of these point to Brazil as a "Country of interest" for me at the moment!
