Oregon v. Auburn Action?

So I'm not in the trading forum yet, but was thinking of getting some action on Oregon v. Auburn.

I'd be up for a straight quality 5er bet... unless someone else is doing something like a squares pool or similar.

That said, if someone is willing to give up 7.5 points (I know Vegas line is 2.5-3... but c'mon... if you think the SEC is THAT good you should be all over 7.5 :rolling, I'll take Oregon and offer the following:

Opus X Love Affair (2009)
Liga Privada No. 9 Flying Pig
Tatuaje The Face
Fuente Magnum R (OR)

Post up ideas if you like Auburn and will give up 7.5pts. If there is more than one interested party, I'll take the bet of the 5er that best matches my tastes.

I propose to take Auburn and anyone that wants to give me 23 points please take Oregon and we'll wager a fiver. I know the Vegas line is Auburn -2.5, but c'mon, if you think the PAC-10 is that good you should be all over 23 points.

All I keep hearing (TV, word of mouth, radio) is that Auburn is so much better and is going to crush Oregon. So, I'm hoping that someone of that opinion will put their money (cigars) where their mouth is. That's why I disclosed the variation in the Vegas line versus my proposal. I don't think it is ridiculous from the standpoint of one of those people.

And I'm not picking you on per se, but on other boards I see this all the time. People want to bet so it's most favorable to them and I don't agree with it. I guess if a guy wants to take the bet then who am I say what's fair? It just doesn't seem right to me (and especially not very smart for the guy taking the worse odds).

Eh... you have a point there. The extra 4.5 points is because I'm hoping to see the Pac 10 win and I figure those who are blatantly arrogant about Auburn/SEC would be willing to take the 4.5 delta. (Blatantly arrogant being a different level than a conference fan... believe me, the Pac-10 has theirs too...)

That said, I don't want to be the douche referenced in the video in the Comedy thread...

So, I'll alter my bet to the 3 point spread I saw last night. If anyone wants Auburn giving up 3 points, I'll do that. :innocent:

I'm not an Auburn fan nor an Oregon fan (Mizzou here), I just believe in fair odds. But now, I'm hoping Auburn beats the living shit out of Oregon and rubs it in their stupid colored uniforms.
