Hey guys,
Tonight is my first T52 experience. Which drink goes best with this stick? Wine (red) or scotch?

Speyside scotch. :thumbsup:Hey guys,

I'll have to agree. If I'm trying a new cigar, I like to have only water with it. Let's you taste a lot more. The next time you have that cigar, you can experiment with different libations. But I would definitely second the water suggestion.Water
Ooh why Speyside?
Eh... I retract my earlier comment. I do think a Speyside would work because you could get the sweetness to play off of the spicy qualities of the T52... but a Highland may be a safer bet as some Speysides have a fair amount of spice themselves. While my preference runs toward Islay, they can overwhelm the palate. That isn't really desirable when trying out a new cigar.

...with almost any cigar. They were practically made for each other. I'm a fan of the rum-finished single malts.A good rum goes amazingly well...

Talisker is great! Speaking of which, I really should pick up another bottle some time soon. Not sure I'd go with it for the first run of any given cigar, but I bet it would pair well the second time 'round.Eh... I retract my earlier comment. A good Lowland would work as well, since they have grassy and floral notes which, when paired with a T52, will somewhat wash out the grassy and floral notes of the cigar and allow you to pull out some of the other qualities, as the T52 has a fair amount to offer.
As for Islay... it would certainly work but I wouldn't go with anything too overpowering as you'll mute your palate just enough to miss out on some aspects of the T52. An older Islay (25 to 30yo plus), or something like Talisker or Bunnahabhain would probably work.
