I've honestly never seen Opus' that low. I guess I'm looking in the wrong places.

Cigar.com has them for an average of $25-$30/stick, or $300 for a box of 10.
From what I can tell most of the big name online retailers jack up prices on Opus as many people deem them as the holy grail of cigars, so they'll pay the hefty mark up. You're better off with a local B&M(B&M's vary obviously) or watching the sale threads here IMHO.

You will rarely find Opus at MSRP online. This is another example of why it important to get to know some good B&M's. Many will not put opus out on dislplay and hold them for good customers others will restrict to instore sales and limits on quantity. If you are really looking I would say start with our sponsors as they are all some of the fairest shops I have dealt with.

Michael, as much as I'd like to get my hands on a couple of those I think that $240.00 is too high a price, regardless of there rarity.

In my opinion these were the best of the Tat LEs since the Black Jar. If I had it like that I would snag em. Better than most cigars I have payed 24 for.

Sounds too high to me.

On a side note, hopefully it's not a brother trying to cash in. I'm all for capitalism (the market will bear what it will bear), but seeing and hearing certain things on sale and sold to fellow brother's from brother's way above MSRP is nauseating.
Well I have no problem with People charging more then msrp for htf sticks, but the going rate for Boris is a,bout 18-$20 each...

Plenty of folks buy the padron 45th, 46th or opusx etc at that price or higher... and the Boris seems to be a better smoke and larger vitola, and much more rare and IMHO more of a collector's item than the likes mentioned above.

If I had the dough (and I mean if I was a baller, not down to the last $240 in my checking account) and really enjoyed the Boris I would be all over these.

Maybe an idea - contact the retailer (phone/email) and ask them if they'd take $200. If not, I wouldn't be adverse to biting the bullet... $24 per stick isn't an uncommon price for premium cigars, and I'm sure many people would pick this as often as a premium stick if they could... I guess it is a personal preference issue, really. If you burn 'em up, the value won't really matter afterward.

I also have no issues with people doing it. I just wish they would stay off BOTL with it. For me making money on family is wrong and I look at everyone here as family. For me cigars has never been about making money it is not my business. Collecting to make money off friends an family takes some of the love out cigars for me.

I hear you, though it should be noted that many people paid a lot more than MSRP even when they got these from shops. I paid $17/stick for my Boris and Dracs on day one (same with the Face). Next time I'll try to hold out for closer to retail.

Yes not everybody was fortunate enough to pick up these for close to MSRP. I didn't catch them anywhere near me for less than $17 before tax. As for $240 for the box now is not so bad to me. Personally I'd take them if I didn't already have a box. My favorite of all Tats and I'd take these over any Padron Anniversaries any day of the week.

i have seen it for $190-220. $240 is too much. I would wait, patiently ;)
Where have u seen it at for that price? I'm not questioning that you've seen it at that price, just curious where.
