I dont get the hatred of Viaje here. If someone posts ANYTHING negative about Pete or Tatuaje, they get completely railed.
This isn't TOTL. This is BOTL. There ARE other manufacturers that make good smokes.
Why no outrage when Pete used the "el triunfador" label? That is an old Cuban label.
Just leave it alone already. Pete is extremely informative and a great source to this site. That is not questioned. That doesn't mean that everything else sucks.

So, it would appear that these will be out in a couple of months (at best). The size I cannot confirm, but the sample that I heard of was smaller than the last one, not sure how it compares size-wise to the OR.

Just a point to make here, the Cuban Brands that Pete Uses he now owns. They were left behind and were not being used. He likes the names, history, looks, etc, and legally assumes responsibility and brings back the past glory....
Different that what others are saying regarding Viaje...
As for Pete, his love for the leaf is infectious and his love for the art / craft is evidant. As for Andre, I do not know, never personnally met him. What I do know is no matter the method of marketing, he makes so damn fine sticks as well. and as long as he does I will buy them...
Basically, Pete could fuck up a release, bad stick, whatever, and I would still follow his brand because of what he is / believes / feels....I am not sure I could say the same about Andre as all I have to go on is his product. A bad run could kill it for me....
The bashing back and forth does nothing for anyone.
Back on topic, got a box lined up for these. Hope the quality continues.....

I would have to agree. Pete has done an amazing job and makes great cigars. Thats why we all buy them. I have never met Andre but I have yet to smoke something of his that I didnt like. I wish the releases were a bit bigger and easier to find but then again I havent ever not found one I was looking for. If you dont like em dont buy but dont kill the guy for running his business the way he wants to. After all it really is his business?? As for the latest round of LE's I cant wait to try them all.
Hmm...I've quite enjoyed my WLP's. I hope he continues the LE trend myself. I like smoking what very few others are. I do think the whole who is copying who is a little out of control though. Opus X & Anejo annual release anyone?? Toast Across America?? Sand Shark? LEs without writing reserva, limitada, etc. Everyone does it. It makes if fun and adds collectible value.
Didn't read the whole thread but im tired of listening to all you bitch about viaje. Its a boutique brand. He's selling out his cigars so is obviously doing something right. None of these companies are doing original, but who the f cares. I guarantee that if andre posted on botl every now and then like pete, you'd all be on his nuts just like you are pete.

IMO LE's are truly LE's when they are presented in such a small batch fashion like we see here. I like some, I don't like some however they are in small supply from what I see. A tweaked blend is obviously not the same blend and if it's offered in small quantities would be again limited by definition. It's nothing new however it is correct tired of it or not. My .02 cents.
So far I've made it through 3 LE releases without sub-coming to the influence of being on the cigar boards. The Anarchy...the initial Black Petite Lancero release...and the WLP's. I've been saving my piggy bank for something that'll knock me on my ass. :grin:
I think there is language on both sides of the fight that is unnecessary.
I think LE are good for the industry and keep people interested. Of course some people will get turned off to a product(but then again those people will just find something to complain about), but really I think it enhances the experience when you actually get a LE whether purchased or gifted to you.
That would be a name I use already....The Thermonuclear is the the blend we use for the T110. We have been calling this blend Thermonuclear since 2003....

The El Triunfador Labels I used on both versions are original Cuban El Triunfador labels. I didn't copy anything or anyone but myself since I own the El Triunfador brand.....
And BTW, I have no complaint about the amount of limited editions Viaje has and I don't think anyone else should have problems with it. If you don't want to spend the money on new releases, don't...
He is running his business the way he wants by making small batch production. The only problem I have with this is his marketing. Mark Twain said," If you tell the truth, you don't have to remember anything. " I believe Viaje has lots he needs to remember.....
The other problem I have are the comparisons between him and I. We are worlds apart.
