My youngest, Bailey, qualified for his first leg of his Junior Hunter title today at a local Hunt Test. Tons of fun.

Not my firewood bro'! That's the firewood pile at the hunt club we were at. Lots of Shotguns around that place. I think I'll pass on theiving their firewood. :stretchgr

OK, in light of the number of guns involved I'll find my firewood somewhere else. You can still come to the herf though.

Just as soon as I win that dang powerball and have all the time and money in the world to travel around and hang out and smoke with the bro's!

Thanks everyone! I'll hopefully be posting more pics up over the next two weekends as I have two more Hunt Test weekends coming up.

GolfNut, I don't do any "real" hunting with them. I might some day, but this is more about getting them out and using their instincts and having fun. There is just something about a bird dog on point. It's a beautiful thing. It's also funny how fast and far real life hunting and AKC hunt tests/field trials can diverge. I've heard more than one person involved in trials state that they no longer hunt with their dogs because "it messes them up for the field". Boggles the mind.

My BIL has three hunting dogs. They have a whole setup on their property to train. They go to competitions all the time. Good luck with your new friend. I looked at those after you posted seeing where in TX I could find one. Seems the nearest breeder is about 300 miles away. I don't hunt, would love too, just never had. But I would love a sport dog to take out while hiking.
