california wants to take away everything I love; Guns and Cigars!... But they can't take away the sunshine!

SIGNED....
They will figure out a way to tax the sunshine soon enough.

I regret moving out here. I am locked in with a great job, a beautiful house and an amazing wife that will not leave the state, but I am ready to pack it up and get back to Texas.

Come back to Texas and get away from those Nazi like government officials in Cali. You may not be able to smoke in many bars or areas in Texas but cheap smokes and access to them are a plus. Not to mention those horrific taxes in Cali.

I never remember going to a bar for my health,....do you?!!!

Signed, sent.

Immediately received a reply email from Senator Mark DeSaulniers.

...I assume CRA sent a form letter/email to DeSaulniers office stating my opposition to the bill. Sweet!

Banning smoking in cigar shops is just the most ridiculous thing ever ... how could anyone think that is necessary? I mean really. Nobody is going to accidentally walk into a cigar shop and not expect smoke ... seriously.

I,ve already filled out a few different petitions on this. With Fatman Cigars so close to the capitol we get a lot of politicos in there and I get a chance to talk to them. It sounds like this bill will more then likely die in the commitee. The 2nd hand man to the author of the bill is an avid cigar smoker and had to completly wipe his facebook page to hide anything to do with cigars. Either way it is stupid that something like this would even be proposed. I was told it would be used by the authors for fundraising for campaigns more then anything.

I hope that is the case but you never know. I think we should not take any chances and fight this hard.

I wish the US Congress would step in and pass a bill to protect business owners rights. Leave smoking up to them.

I would have to disagree with you on this for one reason, I don't think national Government should be doing that. It is more up to the states.
