Help with EP Carrillo...

So I have missed these altogether....and am looking for some info on them...

What are the blends? I've seen short, core, etc...are these the same cigar or just different sizes?
What is the take on them, any to avoid?
Are any HTF? Or all reg production?

The short run dominentes are very interesting. Great flavors - wish it had more - in a mild/mid body.

Other than that, I think they're lukewarm turkey.

Core Line: The only regular production stick atm. Nice cigar! Medium-bodied, nice flavors with some floral notes. Not very spicy--great summer stick, imvho.

Short Run: This was a ... short run cigar from 2010 (though you can still find some around). It was a bit spicier, med-full to me. Really tasty stick and kind of a cross between Nica and DR.

LE 2010 "Inaugrual": Never had, was said to be more mild-medium. Some liked, some didn't.

LE 2011: Never had, said to be like a full-bodied and spicier version of the Core Line. I'd love to try it!

The Inaugural is actually the 2009 release. the 2010 LE is the Elencios, which is a GREAT cigar, IMO. Med-Full Bodied w/ a lot of flavor from start to finish. My favorite EPC, by far! Smoked one today actually Had a bout 8-9 of these and they are consistent as all hell, no worries if you buy a box. EPC is moving into my rotation a lot lately, great smokes, very quality in terms of the construction and tobacco.

I really like the 2009 and short run. Both were must buy boxes for me. The Core line is good too... A bit more ordinary than the others, but very good as well.

I havent heard or saw the LE 2011 yet, but the core line, short run, LE 2009 & 2010 are all very good to me. Of course the 2009 & 2010 stand above the others.

I've only had the Short Run robusto and can tell you it's fantastic. It's definitely worth a box purchase. Medium in strength and full of flavor. It has flavors of leather and cedar, and there's always some spice in there. Its burn is razor sharp and features a perfect draw. A great smoke in my opinion.

I just picked up two more boxes of the E.P. Carrillo Edición Limitada 2009's, I really like 'em - but they are getting harder to find.

I just picked up a box of the new Carillo New Waves. They have a Connecticut wrapper. The Elencos look great too but go for twice the price as the New Wave. They will be released next week or end of March. I've never tried a Carillo so this is a big deal.
