Is HU #2 the H. Upmann?
you sure are an inquisitive feller :nodlaugh:

Don't fret though, I've been there pretty recently with cc's myself...and probably ain't done yet.

Yes, he was referring to the Upmann #2.

Nice part for you is you can get the Monte 2 and PSP2 (Partagas) in 10 ct boxes, so I'd suggest that over goin' for a 25 ct of the Dip 2's. Then reassess and go back for more of the one you love, or move onto the next one.

Good luck

I've smoked a few partagas, and I find them stronger then monte's, if cigar strength is an issue. Have yet to try the P2 yet, but I assume its stronger

They are both good cigars, both things I like to have in my humidor.

Diplomatico #2s are very consistent, so if you like the Dip profile, you can't go wrong.

Monte #2s are less consistent...but when you smoke ones that are "on", you will understand why many hold them in high regard.

Much like Erick, given a choice, I would probably take a Partagas SP2 over either...but I love the Partagas profile.

Yes, quite inquisitive! I'm assuming CC = Cuban Cigar?
I have some PSD4 and Cohiba 5 Maduro and Cohiba Gran Reserva now. Looking to possible get either some Monty 2's or Dip 2's or Part 2 (but no need if Part 2 is similar in strength and flavor to PSD4's). Whooo hoooo!

Well said brother. Myabe some of the members here like the cinnamon taste in the Diplo:cbig:
Si si si! :smokingme

I wouldn't actually describe it as cinnamon (actually above I went with Russian tea cakes aka Mexican wedding cakes... used to think pecan sandies but am now on the tea cake express...), but it is a different type of sweetness. Not the normal cocoa-esque profile.

Not as full in flavor compared to some, and almost monotonous to a fault, but if you want a different type of sweetness, and solid consistency, the Dip 2s are great cigars. A daily cigar? Probably not, but still a solid smoke.

For the record, I think while there are similarites in the PSD4 and PSP2, there are enough differences to keep one interested, and to have both.
