sonarman, have you tried any of the list above? Do you feel these are all a bit too light for my taste?

I was thinking about trying the Partagas Lusitania since I like the PSD4, unless someone can tell me it's much lighter and sophisticated than the PSD4 and not in the same flavor profile.

Don't know much about the Trinidad Robusto Extra or Cohiba Sublimes and Montecristo Sublimes. :dunno:

Ok, are any of these worth giving a try based on my desire for a full bodied "Island" experience?"

H.Upman # 2 torpedo
Cohiba Pyramids
Trinidad robusto extras with pigtail
Siglo 6's
Partagas Lusitanias
Monty Sublimes
Cohiba Sublimes

If responding, let me know if you think any of these may please my palate, and then any recommendations that are not on this list would be GREATLY appreciated!
Of your list, I personally would suggest the Trini RE and the Siglo six. The upmann #2 is a wonderful cigar, but not full bodied. The Lusitania is not blended as strongly as it once was, and I personally a fan of the sublimes, but that is me.

I would suggest however what a few others have said, ryj cazadore and Boli bf, two wonderful cigars that should satisfy your tastes.

Smoking a partagas 898 right now and it's truly a great full body medium strength cigar. This is one of my absolute favorites and everyone should try one of these! Just give it a couple of months to stabilize since the draw can be too tight otherwise.

I know it's been said many times yet I'll throw it out once more.If its only strength you seek look no farther than the RyJ Cazadores.......the only CC thats ever put me on my azz.

If it's loads of flavor I would not recommend the RyJ Cazadores at all. While it is strong you'll find much more flavor in the RyJ Exhibition #3,#4 or Churchill. If you like a cigar with a leather profile look no further than the RASS(absolutely the most refined leather profile I've ever found in any cigar). If you want equal amounts of strength/flavor(well balanced) in an earthy profile.....I'd say the Bolivar family rule this arena. My personal faves are the PC and the Coronas Extra. If you can find them the Punch SS#1 may just be one of the finest Habanas ever produced........loads of flavor with a nice little kick in the final third.

Cuban cigars may or may not be what you're looking for.I personally smoke cigars from all regions of the world with my faves coming from Cuba and Nicaragua. If I like it I smoke it......one of my new finds is a Sungrown Puro from Columbia of all places. Not only is it tasty,it's also priced right.

my experience with Boli Corona Gigante is nothing but awful. They've been plugged and blandl but I will advise that my box is from 01. New leaves are smoking very well, post-07!

I personally like the Diplo 2 for a very nutty experience, and the Trini Coloniales bc they don't need to be aged as much.

Nothing's like a really nicely aged Monte #2 or a Partagas Serie du Conn #2.

And listen to Whistlebritches. He knows what he's talkin bout

Well, so far, the Partagas D #4 is my favorite. I'm going to try a P2 tonight.
Based on that, what direction should I head...Bolivar?

Partagas super partagas knocked me down from the first puff... try em if you can find em. Very full flavored too, spicy.

The P2 was pretty delicious! I MAY still prefer PSD4...seemed spicier and fuller. But my P2 started a bit over-humidified but leveled out after an inch.

How does the Punch Super Seleccion No 1 compare in flavor profile to the Partagas line?

So Bolivar Petite Corona (PC?) and the Coronas Extra (CE?) are goot n' bold?

Will a Corona Gigante that I'm getting soon give me a good idea of flavor profile and strength or are the Petite Corona (PC?) and the Coronas Extra (CE?) much stronger?
