Wow, you really know how to solicit help, don't you? What the hell did you expect? There are dozens of threads on here about Kitty Litter and EVERY. SINGLE. ONE of them has comments like that (check out the posts following yours). It is a natural joke, even for those that DON'T think kitty litter is a silly way to control humidity (and that is coming from someone who has used it and doesn't have a problem with those who do).

I have experimented with some crystals I found at the florist $5 goes a looooong way. Looks the same as the ones from all the other manufacturer but the containers that I used were not that nice. Also, the humidity was a little strong for me at 70+% (I prefer 65%) Stick with the ones made for cigars, they dont cost that much and are a cleaner look. Xikar has the jars and the ones that have magnets to stick in your humi. They range from $5-25 Some of my cigars cost that much (dont have many of those) so sacrifice a couple of sticks and get the real deal, in the long run you it will save you time and worry. Cheers!
