Chasidor drawers?

I could use your help.

More than a year ago, I started reading this forum regularly and what had been an occasional cigar with friends became a full blown habit.

After reading dozens of articles about cigar storage, I decided to order a vinotemp 28, 2 lbs of beads, battery powered fans (air freshener type) and two digital hygrometers. In August (2010) I placed an order with Chasidor for the shelves and drawers to go into the vinotemp, based on the posts of several other members who had ordered from him. I paid for the items via ****** the same day I placed the order, and received a confirmation email from Chasidor.

I knew from reading the posts on BOTL that Chasidor could sometimes take 2-3 months to complete an order. As such, I waited 4 months before I started sending emails to Chasidor asking for an update on the order status.

It has now been 11 months since I placed, and paid for, my order. I have sent a dozen or so emails to Chasidor, some through his website, some direct. After almost a year, I have yet to receive my order, or any response from Chasidor to any of my emails.

I hope this is the right place to post this; if not, let me know and I'll move it wherever it should go.

I could really use some guidance on how to proceed. Everything I have read on this forum suggests that Chasidor is a stand up guy and safe to do business with. I'm not sure if my situation is the result of a misunderstanding or perhaps just a communications problem, but I would certainly welcome any assistance or suggestions you might have to offer.

Sorry to hear man. I bought from Chas a couple years ago and yes he does great work, but it definitely doesn't excuse the bad customer service and especially what you are going through. He posts on another forum and his last post was on June 22, so he is not hiding from anyone. On May 2, he posted a special price for his zebra wood trays.

If I were you, I would PM him on that forum and if you have his contact info, look up a phone number for him. PM sent...

Edit: If you can't get a hold of him, file a dispute with Poopal... not sure if you can though since it's been so long.

Yikes!! That's a helluva wait...

I have never done anythign with Chasidor, so I can't speak to that... However, Forrest (GolfNut on this site) is a pretty great bloke! I have 4 of his double drawers and two of his shelves, with another two double drawers on the way. If you can't resolve the Chasidor thing, or just need more drawers, I suggest giving GolfNut a PM - His prices are good, his turnaround time is great (so far 2 weeks to a month, and the month is because some of his machinery broke down) and his drawers are superb. Mine are in bloodwood and gorgeous.

Fingers crossed that you can work things out, but if not Forrest is your man!

You guys are great!! Within an hour of my post asking for assistance, members sent me information on how to contact Chasidor through another forum, and a phone number.

I was able to reach Chasidor by phone, and provide him with the order number, and faygal transaction number. He provided me with an email address and I sent a .pdf of the payment confirmation from August 2010.

Chasidor was able to confirm the payment and he apologized for dropping the ball on the order. He explained that he had not received my prior emails. He also explained that he no longer made the stained drawers that I had ordered, but he might be able to put some together, although it could take some time. He offered to build cedar drawers for me and have them out in a few weeks, which I accepted. He apologized for the delay and threw in some free drawers to make it up to me. I'll post a pic when they arrive.

Thank you all for your help. You were able to resolve a year long problem in under an hour. Awesome!

I'm not buying it either J and won't recommend him to anyone till this day wether or not he builds a nice drawer. Also depending on how many drawers this gent originally purchased could make the "free" ones not so free. The stained drawers were quite a few dollars more then the spanish cedar option. Making them not so free. I'm glad this guy just got some product at least yeesh. :nono:

Glad to great everything worked out. Mistakes happen but he seemed to make it right.

Kudos for not being accusatory in your OP. I know I've been too hasty in getting hostile before, so this serves as a good lesson.

I had no issues with my Chasidor order. Placed at the end of April got them just over a month later. Glad to hear he attempted to make good by you.
