All good info.

One thing I would suggest with this is to segregate the sticks that had the little white spots. That's mold. Sticks often start to mold when the air isn't circulated enough and humidity starts to build and settle on the sticks. Wipe off the mold on those sticks and bring them back separately.

Also, you can use the humi to bring the humidity slowly. The humi is probably pretty dry, and when you season the humi the humidity comes up slowly. This could really help to control the humidity change. Now, there might be some issue there that I have not taken into account, but I would rehydrate them in the humi, myself.

Actually, I did not even bother with the mold covered sticks. They were rock solid. I'm only trying to save the cello wrapped ones. I only pulled out the 2 sticks I used to take the pics, neither of those appeared moldy.

You should be beaten with a bag of oranges for neglecting Opus like that :hammersma Hope they come around for you.
I got nothing. Like I mentioned up front, I lost track of this humidor during several moves. I had often wondered "WTF" to myself and then only rediscovered it over the weekend. But yeah I agree I'm a total idiot!

So our Hawaiian brother here decided I needed to try a few of these sticks. The pictures in the previous page of the cello are no joke. I can't believe how old these suckers look. They are resting in the Wine Cooler for a bit and then we'll see how they smoke. Thanks again, brother. It should be interesting to see how these turn out.
