Just read a brief article that said Tiger is going to make an announcement today on the golf channel at 11am. At the end, they seem to allude to it having something to do with his doctor, and importing "unapproved" substances :dunno:

Pretty shocking if Woods was juicing, but for a while there he WAS looking pretty ripped all of a sudden....

Tiger Woods to make announcement Monday morning on Golf Channel
Posted at 12:05 AM by Golf.com | Categories: Kelly Tilghman, Tiger Woods

Tiger Woods has scheduled an announcement on Golf Channel for Monday morning at 11 a.m. Eastern. He will be on the air with Kelly Tilghman, an anchor for the network.

The topic was not disclosed. Woods has had a disappointing season, re-injuring his left knee at the Masters, withdrawing from the Players Championship after shooting 42 on nine holes, and skipping last month's U.S. Open and this week's British Open.

Dr. Anthony Galea, a Canadian sports doctor who has worked with Woods in the past, pleaded guilty in federal court Wednesday to bringing unapproved drugs into the U.S.

Woah! Thanks for posting this, I didn't see any mention of it yet. I'll see if I can find any broadcasts of it while I'm at work.

Tiger....wow, what to say. What a fall from grace.

I heard on talk radio this am (and all the talking heads were going ape) that Tiger is on a vacation and not shaving (Oh My God, RIGHT).

They are getting desperate, not much to report on with Tiger, now they are down to discussing his grooming habits, LOL.

It was said that Tiger was possibly going to announce he was shutting it down for the year, however hopefully he wised up and decided to wait to announce whatever it was as not to take anything away from the Open Championship this week. I would hate to watch a tournament he's not playing in and him be the topic of discussion(more so than normal anyway). And why did he need to make this announcement live on television, seems a little Lebron "look at me" James of him to do that, post it on your website and go about your business. I like Tiger and what he has done for the game, but enough of the tabloid approach shit, golf was around long before Tiger and will be around long after Tiger. It's like John Daly all over again

Don't get me wrong, I like Tiger and hope he gets back on track and playing some good golf again, just tired of the over saturation he is getting in the media now when not even playing

Well said! Tiger has done a ton for the game, but as also Bob said.... Just do a press release and call it a day. Now if he is going to retire then a press conference is acceptable. JMO

Yes golf was around but see the american public REALLY cares when americans are at the top casual fans get start to pay attention (and more importantly to sponsers) start spending money. Around where i live when tiger hit the scene bunch of new golfers showing up on the course with new equipement, parents signing up the kids for golf lessons all cause of tiger. So they cling to tiger hoping to regain that glory. Hey Media and sponsers there is this kid you might want to take a look at name's Rory Mcllroy, maybe ya heard of him:hammersma

Yeah, I get all that, I worked at a golf course when Tiger was hitting the scene and saw first hand the influence he had. I am not taking away anything from his impact on the game, just the media's obsession with every move he makes now. I would rather hear about what he is doing on the course and not off the course, if he isn't playing then talk about those that are playing that week. It's become a tabloid story every time he is mentioned it seems.

Is it Tigers fault they dedicate so much attention to him though? I would think if you asked Tiger he wouldn't mind less attention given to him.
