Sorry to hear it bro. Hopefully it's a strike that is actually helpful for the workers and not just stuffing the Unions coffers. Welcome to blue collar employment.

I've never worked for one but been involved w/ them for a long time. Glad I'm on the other side of the house.

If you get in a bind and need to sell some wine, let me know. I used to have a wine shop and know a few people who might be buyers for some good bottles.

Good luck

Hang in there bro. I've worked in both union and non-union environments. Despite the drawbacks, in the end the unions have their time and place. Did your union have a strike fund setup? If it does, its probably only a small pittance, but hopefully it should be a little bit to help to get you by. IMO, the earnings of the average American have gone to shit and have not kept up with the cost of living, so I hope you guys get what you're asking for.

Regards,
Randy

Prayers sent for you and others like you. Praying for a win/win solution and not where management wins twice.

Stay strong brother. I know many who are facing hard times right now. My mother works for the US Postal Service and is in fear of getting downsized. My father has worked for the county in a position for the past 30 years that may soon get chopped as it has recently been deemed "unnecessary". Even us in the military are fearing that our retirement/pension plan is about to be chopped from the original 50% at 20 years plan to a 401K like plan that will reduce our overall retirement in some cases by millions.

Keep faith in whatever you may believe in, whether that be a higher power or your own perseverence.

Thanks for your support, we have had alot of support from our competitors because we are all brothers/sisters in the union, doesnt matter what company. Once we get through this, you guys will have our support when the time comes...

Today a letter was sent to congress to ask for their help in this matter,

also a storm went through, knocking out over 40,000 customers, even mother nature is on our side
