By law you are not allowed to strike in Switzerland. What we have is the national day for workers that is a working day, but you can choose to go manifest or not... Most people dont.
People pest about the French because they are always on strike. The trains, the bus, the airlines, the doctors, the nurses, the teachers, the students, truck drivers, you name it. All these public services are on strike at least once a year in France every single year. When you strike all the time the idea behind the strike, giving a voice to the workers, is lost. This is the case in France, where they have now been forced to take other measures like taking hostage their employers.
