Timely responses and personal assistance/integrity as exemplified here are some of the special things that make our hobby so unique. In what other industry would the actual owners/CEOs of a company actually BOTH check in personally to ensure that a customer's needs were met? Hats off to JD, SS, and LP!

Just wanted to post an update on this. Found another T9 in my humi that had no issues nor did the two I had gifted to me from a friend. I think the 3 that I had issues with was just an isolated issue.

Just found this, great thread. Not many others in the industry would have two company officers responding with emails to something like this.

A true testimonial to Drew Estate and the network that we call BOTL.org

Great job, JD and SS! As to the T52/#9 debate...I love me a fresh T52, but that comes second to an aged #9 which seems to take on a different flavor that is hard to beat in the NC world.

Stay classy,

TG

This reply is in response to The EVP. Please, please give these cigars another shot!!! They are fantastic smokes and in my experience I have never come across a Liga that unraveled!! A bad roll is inevitable in a handmade product like this. But my first guess is to say that this problem began with the Cigar Shop you bought them from - not I'm not trying to be mean or say this is a bad shop. But many many factors contribute to keeping your humidors in proper working order when they are as big as the one's in a shop. A lot more room for error than your personal humidor.

Hi Michele. I haven't given up on them at all. With the response I got from JD and Ssaka, I'm more than willing to give them the benefit of the doubt. In fact, since they stepped up I've branched out and have tried other DE stuff such as their natural line, Java (tasty little sticks!) and the La Viaje brand (a little too mild for me but good). I haven't gotten the replacements yet but I know that there has been a lot going on between the recent trade show, filling orders, etc. It also doesn't help that someone broke into Jonathan's house while he was away. But I have faith in them to take care of things when stuff settles down for JD and DE. No worries! :)

Smoked a Liga Privada #9 that I scored on 2/08. Time has not been good to this cigar. The first ones I smoked I really loved. Saved my last one to let it have a few years on it, big mistake for me.

That's unfortunate it didn't smoke well for you. I have had original release Liga 9's (came in 48ct boxes) fairly recently, and they are amazing!!!

I love these too :). Does anyone know which shop has these in stock right now? I just placed an order with Tampa Humidor and these showed as backordered on my receipt.

I ordered some a couple weeks ago from CigarKing in Scottsdale.

My local shop here just got a ton o' 9's, T52's and unfortunately already sold out of the Rats... but I was able to squirrel a handfull away. I'd offer to pick a box up for ya, but unfortuneately the tobacco tax in Colorado sucks ass. But I truly love the 9's as well, and after a suggestion have started to give the T52's another try .
