So, question for everyone, how do you store your leaves? I'm assuming everyone does the fridge-freeze-fridge cycles when they first receive it, but how do you store it?

Do you only bring what you intend to use at that time up to case?

I probably already read the answer in this thread, but subsequently forgot it.

I don't have room in my freezer so I don't freeze until after I have rolled. I keep the leaf in the bags they come in inside a spare cooler that I'm quickly outgrowing. The leaf I'm using goes into large 2gal ziplocks to bring up to case with sprayed distilled water.

Is there anywhere that I could find a list of resources for buying home rolling supplies? I did a search but didn't have great success.

For leaf and some tools:
Wholeleaftobacco.com
Leafonly.com

A new site I recently found that has all kinds of rolling tools:

Ahhh, do you keep the cooler humidified? Like chuck in a boveda? I'm guessing you don't store it in the ziplocks?

I do have some unfilled space in my kegerator if the cold doesn't hurt it....

I keep them dry and at room temp. The leaf stores better dry. I wouldn't keep them in a fridge though as the fluctuating temperature and humidity may not be good for the leaf

Just found this video of the famed Cuban roller Hamlet. Life goals right here fellas. Rolls a stick from start to finish with his bare hands, no mold at all. My mind has been blown...
Guys, definitely NSFW, some hardcore cigar rolling porn! Jonathon, at least wait until we get off from work lol :D

Hahahaha!! One of these days soon I'm actually gonna give this a shot. He makes it look so easy. I'm sure it's not, but skipping the mold actually saves a bunch of time and is worth giving a shot imo

His entubado rolls are so tight and crisp. And he knows exactly how much to put where. He also made that triple cap look like a joke!

I expect a hooligan approved reproduction at some point!

Which brings up a question, Do you guys do the book method or entubado for your bunches?

I have been meaning to make a short video or shoot some pics of how I make my bunches. It's completely bastardized book method.

First, I lay my seco and viso all facing the same directions. Tips always down, veins all facing the same direction.

Then I lay my ligero next to that. Then, to fit my mold I cut the leaf into thirds.

The top third is brought down over the middle stack lining the cut up to the bottom of the stack, the bottom third is brought up to the middle stack lining the cut up with the top of the middle.
The seco/viso stacks in one pile, then I roll up the ligero and wrap that in the middle of the seco/viso. This way I make sure the slower burning ligero is in the middle and the faster burning seco is as far outside of the bunch as possible. This way my sticks always burn well. Not normal and I have never seen anyone else do it, but it works well for me.

A while back @PJoyce85 nuked me. Along with some German chocolate, Cubans, and some German pipe baccy he bombed me some leaf to roll his favorite blend. Finally got off my ass and rolled a couple. Filler is one leaf each corojo viso, criollo viso, and criollo ligero. Double bound with criollo seco and then I chose to wrap with my Ecuadorian Habano ligero wrapper since in my head that wrapper sounded right for the blend. This was my first time ever using a double binder and first time using a filler leaf as a binder. Normally I include seco in the filler to balance things out and help things burn evenly. Excited to see how this format affects the smoke, ideally I should let this rest a month before smoking and with all the test blends I have going right now that shouldn't be as hard as it actually will be.

The fridge step isn't necessary. I throw the whole 1lb bag in the freezer and then store the bag dry.
I keep gallon ziploc bags handy so when I'm ready to roll I separate each part of the blend into their own bags to bring it up to case. Usually I'll grab enough for a few rolling sessions at a time so I don't have to keep digging out and prepping leaf all the time.

I will add, if you accidentally bring up to too high of a case, just lay the leaf out in the open to dry then return to the bag when it's where you want. Also, if you prep too much wrapper and don't plan to use it soon, pull it out of the bag and let it dry out so it doesn't mold. I've had to toss spendy wrapper I let sit wet too long.

Those look awfully tasty. Nice ones.
