Good Godz man! One roll per MINUTE? I do 8 per hour but my waste is a handful when I'm finished ... JUST LOOK AT THAT PILE OF MESS ON THE RIGHT LOL ... didn't your mama ever teach you not to waste your food? I mean leaf lol Guess no time for clean up when you are speed rolling... why are you speed rolling again? To roll enough at an event? They must be light as a feather. Tell Willy I need to know how to roll with such speed without the messy waste.... teach my ass cause I can't prep and roll that fast... too analSo Willy is a rockstar teacher. Sitting at his table I just rolled 15 bunches in 20 minutes. There is more waste than I am used to, but he only pays $12/lb for filler. Sells the sticks at events for $6/ea. Sounds like I have an event to work with him in a few weeks

Yes, accordion method. All the filler and binder was already prepped. Filler doesn't take long at all to prep, binder takes a little more time. I bring the binder up to case by spraying gently then placing in a large plastic bag like a garbage bag where I let it sit anywhere from a few hours to overnight, then strip the midrib and it's ready to rock. Was that with the accordion method?
How much prep time before the bunching, such as casing or cutting the binder?
Rolling for events and also for online sales that he does. He made 150 "bodies" as he calls them yesterday and 100 today. Has a two day event in Vegas this weekend. I wrapped 4 sticks at his place tonight. Not quite as fast, about 3-5 minutes each to get them dressed.Good Godz man! One roll per MINUTE? The scrap on the side there is not all just thrown out. We place that scrap in the foot of the cigar to even the fill there and help the cigar light easily so it does all get used eventually. One thing I found interesting is tonight Willy was spraying the leaf with a light brown, sweet smelling liquid to hydrate. I couldn't place if it was rum or cognac or something else mixed with water in his spray bottle and I didn't have the nerve to ask all his secrets yet. His daughter came out and spoke to me for a little bit and said she is surprised, he has never taught anyone before how to roll cigars. People have offered him $1,000 for lessons and he has turned it down. I feel very fortunate that he has chosen to teach me.There is more waste than I am used to ....
Of course there is waste, I wonder where the idea came from that there is NO waste is cigar rolling.
This hobby is about rolling the best cigars for me and defiantly not about waste.
Rolling them yourself is a fraction of the price of buying cigars. I smoked before every month 1 box of 150-200 dollar cigars.
After an "investment" of 600 $ I smoke cigars which are at least as good as the ones I used to buy.
Why does everything in this hobby has to be cheap ???
If only I had started this hobby 10-15 years ago...I'll bet all you rollers could, in theory, roll the most beautiful blunts with ease......just sayin'
I think with proper guidance you are able to roll a 10 $ cigar in a few days.If only I had started this hobby 10-15 years ago...![]()
Yes... well that makes more sense time wise... I average the same on dressing. Maybe it's the extra step of marination that takes me so damn long bunchingYes, accordion method. I see he mentions that they repurpose the leaf which is awesome... cause I looked at that pile and saw unrolled cigarsThere is more waste than I am used to ....

Awwwwwwwww... that is disappointing! Sometimes event hosts don't know the difference between bunch rolling and wrap rolling... they just say rolling cigars... most events, the roller is wrapping not rolling a from bunch to wrap. In house cigar rollers will have an in house lab and will bunch and wrap on location. It's not as common to find a roller bunching and warpping at a public event. I do both... I bring prebunched to wrap and alternate with new bunching.Only went to one rolling event, when I was a raw beginner who wanted to learn how to bunch. Needless to say, the rolling event turned out in fact to be a wrapping event. Disappointing.
Your theory is accurateIf only I had started this hobby 10-15 years ago...![]()

Its completely different lol. Back in my prime I could split a dutch and have it rerolled in under a minute no BS. Perfect seam line, looked like a professional rolled petite corona. Ah the good ol' daysI'll bet all you rollers could, in theory, roll the most beautiful blunts with ease......just sayin'
