I hear that your tastes buds change every few years, so it might not be a bad idea for me to try some stuff that I used to think was gross.

I love the things. I generally have to buy a pizza for myself, though. Nobody else in our family likes them. FPDoc is right, they are addictive.

Wouldn't have a pizza without 'em.

I used to live in a small town and the employees at the pizza shop I frequented refused to touch "those nasty things". They made me put them on my own pizza. LOL

One of the great things about puitting them on pizza is you won't have to share with anyone. Except my wife who likes them also.

And next day leftovers are just fine.

I made pizzas at a local Italian restaurant when I was in high school. I used to HATE it when poeple ordered anchovies. Just the smell of em'... :barf:

I picked up the habit in Japan of putting corn on pizza. THAT's yummy.

What were you guys thinking the first time you thought to yourself. Hmmmm, lets try to put stinky, half rotten, dried up, black little fish with bones and scales on my pizza to try it.

You want salty, try adding salt. If you want crunchy or gritty, try adding dirt. I would think both would make good substitutes over that kind of fish.
I like fish (!)

We are all chipping in for pizza tomorrow at work. About 14 of us and the order is as follows:

1 XL - meat lovers
1 XL - cheese
1 XL - with everything on it (no anchovies)
1 L - with all anchovies

cannot wait

I'm the pizza maker in our house but I can't say I'm fond of anchovies.

The Wife® likes pineapple & ham but I can't say I'm thrilled with that either. I'll eat it...but not enthusiastically.

Our perfect pizza is a hand-tossed crust liberally covered with diced roma tomatoes lightly marinated in balsamico, seasoned with a few hits of salt & pepper, topped with fresh whole milk mozzarella drizzled with a little EVOO, and after cooking, sprinkled with a chiffonade of fresh sweet basil. If we want a little extra on it, a few slices of prosciutto satisfies the meat craving and we might even add fresh mushrooms. If you've never had a white (sauceless) pizza, you'd be surprised at how good they can taste.

I still make the occasional red pizza, though...and thats when they get loaded with the works...or that damned pineapple and ham.
