360 sticks a hour your a little off. 4320 is more then a whole days production in MF Nica.
Each team does a couple hundred. Banding at 10sec i think is a little much as well.
I agree that is an agressive number. But I have cut that production # by 75% and the math still doesn't add up to .50c

and by no means is any one calling anyone a liar. I believe you all heard them say it would be a .50c difference in cost to the consumer. I just don't see it costing more than .10-.15 per stick to get the band on the cigar. If we are saying .50c difference in a stick because it is unbanded and in a bundle opposed to a box, then I totally understand. But the band by itself couldn't cost .50c per stick. The original question was, how much does it cost them to print and apply the band?

I can't see the link Rob put up, while I am at work, what is the difference in those bundles to the boxed version?

I agree with you that the production cost can't be near 50c either, and I agree with you in the 10-15c range... 20c tops...

You guys are forgetting, a 50 cent difference in MSRP means a 25 cent difference wholesale (give or take) and depending on the profit margins (they aren't a charity) their actual cost could be closer to 15-20 cents.

Oh and the guy talking about ghurka forgot about the boxes.

No one is forgetting that, if you read through the thread you will see the reference to "consumer cost" at least once or twice.

I got confused with the people referring to the consumer cost versus "their cost". I assumed that some others may have been as slow as me. I may have been mistaken haha
