I will have to track this one down. I love Brett ipas. There is a chemical reaction with some types of Brett that actually makes the hop aromas and flavors last longer and its magic imo
That one sat in my closet for over a year. I wish I had bought more of them to see how they evolve. It had a little bit of that scotch tape flavor that I don't care for, but overall it was excellent.

Round 2 from @mistaforty Thank for this delicious combo. Narwhal Barrel Aged 2015 and a Feral Flying Pig. I wasn't able to take proper notes while I shared this beer and cigar with my fellow rail riding hobo brother so please excuse any finer points I may have missed.

The first thing we both noticed was a sweet coconut flavor that really stood out. That slowly faded to a nice background note. I felt that went nicely with some of the coffe/cocoa tones to the cigar.

Another thing I noticed right off the bat was the very strong roasted almost burnt flavor I disliked in the regular Narwhal was entirely gone. The aging process mellowed that way down. This allowed more oak and malty flavors to shine. Leaving this beer tasting slightly sweet.

As the cigar settled in and opened up after the first third the coffee and cocoa flavors melded well with the sweet flavors of the beer. This made for a very enjoyable and rich tasting pairing.

Most importantly you were right @mistaforty barrel aging made this Narwhal an entirely different animal.
