Holy shit, the northeast may actually be better at IPA than SoCal right now
Trust me, it pains me to say it, but I acquired a handful of these and they have all been phenomenal. There is definitely a stylistic difference -- they have relatively lower bitterness (hops added toward the end of the boil for flavor, not so much at the beginning for bitterness, I'm guessing...) and more of that tropical fruit thing going on -- whereas west coast IPAs are 'dank'...green and vegetal and bitter, with citrus-y notes but not a whole lot of the mango/passionfruit/pineapple stuff. And they manage to get that creamy mouthfeel that stouts have, especially these Trillium beers. Seriously, if you can get your hands on some, by all means do. I'm very impressed. I still love the enamel-peeling west coast alpha assault, but these are almost a style unto themselves.Bite your tongue.

Man i guess kinda like cigars I love them allGood descriptors but i love a good crisp citrusy west coast style and not a fan of, as you would say, "creamy mouthful" in an IPA. I love it in stouts but not so much IPAs. But then again, i havent tried those so probably not fair for me to say either way. Lol

all the time and in my bellyThey all have a time and place
LOL, I didn't say 'creamy mouthful' exactly, although 'creamy mouthfeel' may not be much better. Anyway, if you're ever in Boston or have a chance to try Trillium, I think you'll like it.Good descriptors but i love a good crisp citrusy west coast style and not a fan of, as you would say, "creamy mouthful" in an IPA.
