Has anyone tried the Caldwell Cigars stuff? I'm not normally a sucker for packaging, but these just look awesome. From the font to the artwork, they just look cool.

I put a box split inquiry up but never heard from anybody, so I ordered a 4-pack of the coronas for myself. It's an unusual stick, most similar in my experience to the stuff that Viaje puts out. Kinda salty and tannic if that makes any sense...left my mouth dry whereas many sticks do just the opposite. Chefboy just sent me a lancero which I'm excited to try and see how it differs.

I agree about the packaging -- definitely has an appeal.

Loved the lance so much that I ordered another four pack! Then found a box which is en route!!!

More than willing to share some with the BotM if interested :)

Has a sweet taste with salty finish which begs for a follow up of dick jokes...but great stick nonetheless and changes up profile throughout.

I find it to be medium strength with med/full body. Didn't want to end

Aaaand has the coolest band I've ever seen

Had one the other day. Very nice flavor but it had some tunneling issues. It could have just been that it was abnormally humid outside that day. Next time I go back to that B&M I'm going to pick up a few more of the Long Live and some of the rest of the line as well. I agree very cool packaging.

+1, dry box or rest in your stash for a week. very gnarly wrapper, reminds me of rough broadleaf like la casita or old henry clay, and it seemed prone to humidity issues to me. in between relights, it was beastly strong and had a nice rich mouth feel. i dug them, and plan on revisiting them.

Just bought a box of The King is Dead, they're great cigars. Concur on the presentation and bands for all of the Caldwell's I've seen too. I guess I've gotta admit I can be a little shallow on that piece, but I definitely get some enjoyment out of a cool box and all the accompanying packaging.

It's great how in the three main lines each vitola has its own character. That King is Dead robusto is a spice bomb, while the torpedo is rich with chocolate notes. Amazing sticks..
