I dunno... it's just a list. I think the RP Decade and 1990 are really good smokes. Most of the editorial people I know try to keep advertising separate and have integrity in the review process.

And I know it irks people that Casa Magna ranked partially because of price, but look at the Motor Trend COY - they take a populist approach and value plays a role.

I will say I've learned more in a month on this site than I have as a CA subscriber for the past year.

Don't get me wrong, all the cigars in the top 10 so far are good smokes, i just don't see them being in the top 10. I hate to be that guy who thinks only cubans are good cigars but come on, there better be at least a few more cubans making the top 10. I have smoked some really great cubans this year, i think 08 and 09 have been some of the best years this decade. To only have one or two make the top ten is a huge disappointment.

Sweet! A 601 made the Top 10! Congrats to the EO boys, all of their products are excellent!

I also love the Hem. Classic and the Oliva V, so I'm liking this list so far. Fewer "elitist" sticks than I'd expect, which is cool.

Also, note this comment on the Oliva V "$6—the second most affordable cigar on the Top 25 list and the best bargain in our Top 10."

I'm thinking the other affordable cigar mentioned is the CAO La Traviata, and if so that means that stick is NOT in the Top 10!

Don't get me wrong every cigar on the list has been a good smoke, I just don't think they are the top ten of the year.
