Thanks for bumping this Jeffy. Just another of many reasons why I won't do business with Famous. Total rip off shop. If they can't scam you one way, they will try for another.

Sad to see Famous resorting to this sort of thing. I was a customer of theirs way back, and they'd always done right by me. I won't touch Cigar Sniper with a ten foot pole, and frankly it's hurt my opinion of the whole outfit.

well i won a fiver of murcielago using the last 2 of my free bids. but now that they are gone wont visit the site again. you have to be extreeeemly lucky like i was to get "great deals." I used to shop from famous but now it seems they like to push the house brands/exclusives. Sad to say that if they continue down this road they'll become the new thompsons cigars.

I agree with Postal; I won a 5er of Thunder by Nimish with some free bids. S&H seemed a little high, but I got them super fast.

Now that I'm out of free bids I've opted out of their emails & will no be coming back.

Like many others I used up all my free bids and will not go there again, and I agree with what Charles said that it changes my whole opinion of Famous. I discovered that many BMs have web presence and I would rather by from them.

I didn't even use all my free bids. I tried it out, wasn't impressed and haven't been back since. I had a few things pending with Cigar Auctioneer and once they were finished I probably won't go back to them or visit Famous for future purchases. Just leaves me with a bad taste that they would use this kind of a bid system...

It's the biggest rip off in Cigars! I spent $15 in bids to get a single stick for $1.25, then had to pay $7 shipping! $23.25 for a $4 cigar. Never again...

I never had any plans to use the site except maybe utilizing their free bids...but now they've restricted the items you can use the free bids on. I just checked out the items they allow you to use the free bids on and it's pretty embarrassing. Nothing I would even consider paying the shipping charges for, lol.

No biggie, plenty of other sources for cigars.

The worst part of that website are those awful noises. Who in their marketing department signed off on that?
