I think you would be better off verifying other aspects of the cigar/box if you need to verify their validity.

I hate to even respond to this thread as I'd like to see it just go away, but I had to respond to the above. Based on the original, and strange, question, the above wouldn't give an answer. He asked if Cuban Maduro's smelled different than just regular every day maduro. Comparing a regular production cuban to an EL cuban wouldn't answer what he was asking.
